    Dear James,

As a Bristish person living next door to France, is ‘sherbert’ in the US of A sense related to sorbet? We have a type of candy called ‘lemon sherbert’ which seeks to explode inside once consumed. Most entertaining.

It’s like sorbet, but creamier. I’ve never come across internally detonating confections in my British travels, but will make inquiries next time I’m there.
