A while back I started using a different liquid hand soap.  This morning I was looking at the bottle and I realized the company made a determined effort to design a sort of traditional no frills look to the packaging, which is probably what caught my eye the first place.  I can’t say I notice any particular difference in any of these products and should probably just buy based on price.  But I find the design elements of the labels interesting.  Look at how the Mrs Meyers label keeps to a similar font style – and despite actually having way more script on the label it someone conveys (at least to me) a no nonsense look.  Look at how many different fonts are on the other designs despite much less script. Hey, at least I figured out how they caught my attention. Next time I’ll actually check the unit price.
Those of you who know graphic design – are the fonts that compelling on their own or is it multiple design elements working together? Is it just me or does the first label really present a more traditional look?
