Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Join Jim and Greg as they cringe over President Trump’s tweet targeting a 75-year-old protester who suffered a head injury following a confrontation with Buffalo police. They also throw up their hands as the Minnesota State Patrol admits its officers slashed tires of some unoccupied vehicles during the recent riots, with an explanation that defies credulity. And they unload…again…on the World Health Organization for fostering massive confusion by suggesting that asymptomatic COVID patients very rarely infected other people – and the correction only made things even more confusing.

Hey, maybe if 75-year-old “protesters” are too fragile to be pushed away by riot police when they try to interfere with police communications, they should retire from Antifa and stay home?
Of course Jim, it is all Trump’s fault.
Always.
Nothing he does is right.
Everyone is going to get this at some point.
We flattened the curve.
They have no idea and time to go back to normal 100 percent.

Probably unwise for Trump to say anything about the 75 year old professional protester and practiced soccer flopper purposely agitating to induce a physical response from the police.
If this is true, then the police foolishly walked right into a trap which was not even hidden. Then President Trump walked into the trap himself. It’s one thing for police, in the heat of the moment, to do something stupid. It’s another thing for someone in his air conditioned office to do something stupid. President Trump has no brain filter. He thinks something, and then immediately does it.
Dunphy’s piece was for P.J. Media, but he also has posted articles regularly on National Review, the most recent one on June 4. Probably would have been worth mentioning his take, since you’d assume NR would have faith in Dunphy’s statements, including that Gugino may have been trying to capture data with his phone scan.
Watching the video in slow motion on my DVR when it was presented on Fox News, it looked like Gugino was poking the officers with his phone, but I couldn’t understand why. Nor did the Fox News talking heads seem to notice it.
I noticed it as well. It was a clear provocation. Looked like he misjudged the landing, but wanted to be pushed.
Again, maybe 75-year-old Antifa agitators should retire.
