saudi

This is the story to watch from the Middle East today: Saudi women are risking arrest, the loss of their jobs and the loss of their children to challenge the driving ban.

From the Facebook group called Teach me how to drive so I can protect myself:

Yaa Rabb!! Protect yourselves KSA Sisters! Lock your doors, take videos, wear spiked heels while driving! Practice your self defense moves against any aggressors. DON'T GET OUT OF YOUR CAR! Make them tow you. STOP ALL TRAFFIC IN ALL OF KSA!! MEN OF KSA-SUPPORT YOUR WOMEN! REMEMBER WHERE YOU CAME FROM, YOUR MOTHER'S WOMB!! YAA RABB!

This is a Serious Stand, and we should All Salute the Courage, i live in the neighborhood and my Sister go to Work on they Own and we Respect That " Trust " which is been Asked There !

You can change the world, Manal. Freedom to all women of the world!!

One of the campaigners, Wajeha al-Huwaider, has described Saudi Arabia as "the world's largest women's prison."

Man, do I hope what we're seeing is the beginning of the world's largest prison break.

CNN reports that there are no laws against women driving in Saudi Arabia. Someone should let the police who arrest these women know that, I guess.

These women take my breath away. American feminism can't even peek out from behind their skirts.

MEN OF KSA-SUPPORT YOUR WOMEN! REMEMBER WHERE YOU CAME FROM, YOUR MOTHER'S WOMB!!

Talk about turning biology on its head. Naturally. Gorgeously. Courageously.

Yeah...ok.

Ricochet may be the most intelligent conversation to be had anywhere on the internet. But you can't eliminate all the ragamuffins. Without further delay, my contribution:

Dang! That Saudi girl is fine! I haven't seen a woman's prison movie in years. They bust out of prison, bust out of their burkas then bust past the drive thru. They can't drive so there will be lots of car crashes. This has summer blockbuster written all over it. I don't need any credit, just let me help with casting. Saudi Summer - this film has not yet been rated.

I hope the women in Saudi Arabia remember to be careful. New drivers make a lot of mistakes. The last thing they need is an accident.

This is incredibly hot stuff!

That said, should beginning drivers really be trying to drive in high heels?

As you said, new drivers make mistakes...

I wondered about that.

Are they enforcing Sharia?

Twitter's and/or Facebook creators should be up for a Nobel Peace Prize for enabling of these kind of things.
