This week, a double shot of Need To Know with Charen and Nordlinger. Today, Jay and Mona welcome National Review editor Rich Lowry to discuss immigration and the rift on the right over this issue. Then, Jay and Mona remember Mayor Ed Koch, discuss women in combat, wince over the idea of John Kerry, Secretary of State, marvel at Al Gore's hubris, and are awed at the graciousness of George W. Bush.

Re: Hizzoner
I have not had an opportunity to listen to the podcast yet, however, this bit about the " graciousness of George W. Bush" has put me on edge. I loved W, I vigorously supported him, and voted for him twice. However, he ceded the field to Democrats issue after issue, he didn't defend his policies, and left supporters twisting in the wind, apparently this was the idea of the genius Carl Rove, so, now Bob Beckle can confidently proclaim that the American people hate Republicans. And he is r1ight, the Republicans from Bush, to McCain, to Romney have gone along with the Democrat narrative. Now, the truly evil run free through the halls of power in the US as people who care about the nation are savaged, and the Fauntleroy Republicans won't fight for fear of upsetting someone.
