French President Nicolas Sarkozy says the Fatah-Hamas pact is "good news" and reassures us that peace "is at hand."
And here I was all worried.

Could it be that Sarko is thinking of the French-Israeli dual citizen Gilad Schalit, who remains in Hamas captivity? Perhaps his pronouncement is the price for Gilad's survival.
