May The Best Chinchilla Win
How crazy of a night was it? So crazy that Keith Judd won a higher percentage of the vote in the West Virginia Democratic Presidential primary than Dick Lugar won in his Indiana Republican Senate primary. He's taking 40% of the votes, at last count.
Who is Keith Judd? Other than, you know, a federal inmate serving time in Texas? In March, the Houston Press said he claims:
... his mother was silent-movie star Lillian Russell, who died in 1922, and that he counts Star Trek, MASH and Gunsmoke among his favorite TV shows.
Judd, who either has the most rad, lustrous ponytail known to man, or was photographed while a chinchilla was sleeping on his shoulder, lists his religion as Rastafarian-Christian, and was formerly a member of both the machinists' union and the Federation of Super Heroes. He lists his father as Homer T Judd, who "designed the first Atomic Bomb." ...
And since Judd lists "ESP" and "telling the future" as his hobbies and talents, it seems that he, better than anyone, knows that he'd be able to deliver. Hail to the future chief!
It may surprise you to hear this about such an impressive candidate, but voters indicate they were making a statement against the incumbent more than voting for a federal inmate.

Re: May The Best Chinchilla Win
Does he still count as a resident of West Virginia if he's a guest of the Federal government in Texas?
Re: May The Best Chinchilla Win
This is crazy. It's also pretty darn funny. But mostly crazy.
I want to know how Keith Judd ended up on the ballot in the first place.

I know more about this man's college days than the Commander and Chief.
I'm not sure which is more self-destructive for the Residents of West Virginia. Obama sponsored EPA war on Coal or Mr ESP.
Seriously though 13 years for making threats!

Is it winner take all or does he get delegates? If the latter, who will place his name in nomination?

I, for one, welcome our new incarcerated overlords. C'mon, who better to understand the entitlement state?

Re: May The Best Chinchilla Win
If the election came down between, Obama, Romney and Judd I might have to go with Judd just for the laughs.

I like this concept. Make politicians prepay for their crimes against The Constitution.
For every year they're willing to serve in federal penitentiary, they can serve in office.

I know more about this man's college days than the Commander and Chief.Aelreth, those were my first thoughts too. Will he get a nice salary and pension? In the recent Canadian elections, a 19 year old bar tender got elected and she was in Vegas at the time. People were more upset by her big government salary than her poor credentials. In Quebec, of course.

I'll withhold judgment until Ashley Judd endorses him.

Re: May The Best Chinchilla Win
No, not the No. 1 spot, but he'd be an improvement over Joe Biden for No. 2.
Re: May The Best Chinchilla Win
This story keeps getting funnier. For instance, Sen. Joe Manchin won't say who he voted for in the primary. If it's not safe to cop to voting for the leader of your party, that's a bad year for Obama.
Re: May The Best Chinchilla Win
His mother died in 1922? That's got to be a typo, no?

Re: May The Best Chinchilla Win
While this is amusing, it is also embarrassing. Our political system is in such sorry state that a Felon currently in Federal Prison can give the sitting President a reasonable challenge.

Typo, insanity, a combination? Or maybe, just maybe, he's not just a felon but an immortal felon ....
