Steyn/Goldberg/Long
Episode 4: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
January 28, 2013 at 8:42pmFrom this past weekend's National Review Institute Summit Meeting, here's the Night Owl session with Rob Long, Jonah Goldberg, and Mark Steyn. They riff on well, everything. So sit back, plug in the earbuds, and enjoy. We did.

Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
This is great!
Are there any plans to post the other panels from this weekend's NRI summit? I wasn't able to listen live.
Apologies if I missed the links.
Thanks.
Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
C-Span covered the Friday and Saturday morning sessions here.

Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
Steyn's humor is brilliant, it wants me to laugh out loud and go hide under a rock all at once...

Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
Thanks Yeti for the link #2. Is there a podcast format for that morning meeting that can be downloaded onto a mobile phone?
Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
I have to put both links in because non-members don't see the second one. I don't know why.

Once upon a time that was considered a feature, not a bug. Just saying.

Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
Jonah Goldberg led me to Mark Steyn who led me to Rob Long. Glad I found all three.

Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
Great podcast put had to stop cold at the first question. More Steyn/Goldberg/Long, less talking audience. Whatever happened to written (or emailed?) questions from the floor? "Mr. X from Y asks ________". This eliminates all of the editorializing and self-aggrandizement and uninteresting commentary from the questioners.

Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
I disagree. Yes, some of the questions were clumsy, inane, or even discomfiting, but that's what you often get with actual real-live normal human beings.
I quite enjoyed hearing the three, ahem, "humorists" try to parlay (or should I say, "parley") thud-worthy questions into something witty or interesting, and (to their credit) they were for the most part able to do so.

Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
The oldest boy band in history really needs to get back together more often. I took a flight today, listening to this, and was actually laughing out loud, making the poor woman in the seat next to me wonder what the hell was going on.
Really good stuff, gents.

Now that I have had my Goldberg, Steyn and Long fix, I am happier than Larry Craig in an airport bathroom.

Re: Live At The National Review Institute Summit
Ahh this trio is great. Jonah's laugh is priceless. This should really be at least a monthly staple of Ricochet. That way, when Rob uses Mark's name to lure people into the site they will at least get some of him hah.

Will there be a podcast of the Q&A ??
