The Last Straw

This week, some rumination on Trump’s tete a tete with Putin (along with a history lesson for Rob Long), we introduce you to Elizabeth Heng, who is running for Congress in California’s 16th District, we get some #MeToo education from our good pal Mona Charen, (stop whatever you’re doing and buy her book Sex Matters right now) and the city of Santa Barbara declares that if you use a straw in that fair city, you’ll do time. Which sucks. Also, the Word of The Day is spizzerinctum.

Music from this week’s podcast: Sex Bomb by Tom Jones

Right, Gary, just stick with demonic possession. It’s so much more entertaining.

I have a better script. Omit Max’s paragraph and say the following:

Our members are from the Center-Right part of the spectrum. Some of us love Trump, some don’t. NeverTrump Member Gary Robbins has made a $300.00 gift to purchase 10 memberships for one year, because he believes that once you read the Member Feed and have posted messages on it, including his latest diatribe against Trump, you will be hooked and will want to pay only $2.50 a month to be able to file your own posts about how you love, hate or are perplexed about Trump, and you will be throughly hooked as a member, and will want to explore the more expensive membership levels.

    ________________

As far as I know, the $2.50 podcast-level membership only allows for commenting on the podcasts, not elsewhere on the site. You can read the rest of the site, but not post/comment.

If I contributed $600, would that be suffice to to fund 10 one year scholarships for members to be able to post and commment?

You don’t think Putin has something on Trump? Did you watch the Helsinki Press Conference?

I did. It can be explained very simply by his personality and needs no Kompromat. Do you think Kim had something on him, too?

I agree with Arahant, Gary. And you know that I don’t think anymore of Trump than you do. But Trump has shown us how strange he is, how his need for continued flattery makes him say and do the most reckless things. Obama did a lot of reckless things too, and no once accused him of doing them because someone had something on him. You just can’t explain some people, or their actions.

It could be both a lack of character and kompromat.  I recommend the July 8, 2018 article in New York Magazine.  Read it and let me know if it strikes you as being as crazy as Trump being a Birther, or it is even crazier, like being a Truther.

Trump University where Trump scammed hundreds of people out of tens of thousands of dollars.

Granted this is bad. His MLM stuff is even worse. Is this genuine rip off any worse than what the Clinton, Bush, or Obama families have done?

Trump allegdedly sold his soul to the Russians to get financing.

Deutsche Bank facilitated loans from Russians in 2006. The IRS has been giving him a colonoscopy the whole time.

Multi-level marketing. He rented out his brand to some crooks.

I didn’t know that Trump did Multi-Level Marketing, but am not surprised.  I don’t think that Clinton or Obama did that, except to the extent that Social Secutity is a Ponzi Scheme.

There was probably more evidence that Bill Clinton and his people were shipping/transferring drugs through Arkansas airports, or whatever that claim was.

The point of Ricochet is that people pay to be able to comment.  Paying people are much more likely to behave.  People who comment for free are much ruder; just look at the rest of the internet.

All of those families including the Bush’s have done something to rip off the public. Gauging and judging it compared to Trump matters.

My favorite one that no one talks about is Jeb Bush sat on the board of an insurance company. He sucked $2 million out of that place before they went all in on Obamacare. For literally doing nothing. Just because of his name.

That stuff about Clinton running drugs never broke through to the legitimate press. While New York Magazine is clear left of center, it is a litigimate news source.

Almost everyone on TV makes more money makes more money by not being principled and acting out. Scarborough’s speeches from 20 years ago are incredible in this sense. He’s a Ruling Class RINO for $$$$ now.
