Trump Has Driven CNN Stark, Raving Mad
While the rest of America was celebrating Independence Day, CNN kept digging its own grave.
Furious over a silly video President Donald Trump posted Sunday, the flailing network sicced Senior Editor Andrew Kaczynski on its creator. He tracked down an anonymous Reddit user who first posted the GIF of Trump tackling a wrestler whose head was replaced with a CNN logo. Kaczynski then found out the person’s real name and threatened to release it if he misbehaved again:
After posting his apology, “HanA**holeSolo” called CNN’s KFile and confirmed his identity. In the interview, “HanA**holeSolo” sounded nervous about his identity being revealed and asked to not be named out of fear for his personal safety and for the public embarrassment it would bring to him and his family.
CNN is not publishing “HanA**holeSolo’s” name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.
CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.
That’s right: a Senior Editor for CNN is blackmailing an American citizen for daring to criticize them.
This isn’t Kaczynski’s first attempt at destroying a private citizen’s life. As a BuzzFeed reporter, he gained notoriety for publicizing a lame joke Tweeted by a 30-year-old PR director named Justine Sacco. As Sacco was boarding a plane from London to Cape Town, South Africa, she poked fun at many people’s poor understanding of the continent. Kaczynski decided the joke was racist and helped gin up a digital lynch mob while she was in the air for 11 hours sans internet. By the time Sacco landed, she was mobbed by reporters, was fired from her job, and had to go into hiding. [Update: Another link demonstrating Kaczynski’s role is here.]
Kaczynski’s insanity was just the latest in CNN’s string of horrible decisions related to Trump. Last week, CNN accepted the resignations of three star journalists over their retracted story falsely connecting a Trump associate to a Russian bank. Before that, CNN’s parent company helped fund a performance of Julius Caesar, in which a Trump stand-in is assassinated. In the past month, the network retracted another anti-Trump story proved false by James Comey’s testimony, fired Kathy Griffin for posing with an effigy of Trump’s decapitated head, and censured host Reza Aslan for wishing rape on a Republican congressman. Not to mention the Project Veritas videos catching CNN employees mocking Americans and admitting that the endless Russia allegations are a big nothing-burger.
For all the criticism of Trump’s self-defeating tweets, his steady attacks on CNN have provoked the network to reveal how awful they truly are. Perhaps the President can Tweet a new video in which CNN body-slams itself.

This stuff is important
For generations the left has owned the media and the art of public ridicule.
Did anyone else see SNL after the election? It was an emetic.
So for the right to out-do the left like this, time and again, is a good thing. It may even signal a change in fortune in the culture wars.
Stay the course, ladies and gentlemen.
Missed the first pull, but got the second (which the first pays homage to):
I knew that Ted’s brother is David, so I checked briefly on Andrew, and Wikipedia (for what that is worth) says that he gets asked this question often and that he is not related. Maybe technically all Kaczynskis are related at some level, but I don’t think we need to go there.
The worst part of all this? I just read a sentence that began “If Buzzfeed is correct…” and I didn’t barf up a little in my mouth.
No matter who loses, we win.
This is why I think voices like Steven Crowder, Remy, and Gavin McInness are so important.
Would you like to play some Solitaire?
Daphne et Monique, Il ya un feu a l’agence de voyage.
Suppose a non-media corporation like Exxon had threatened to reveal embarrassing details about an individual’s private life, in retaliation for a meme that went viral. I guarantee you there would be congressional hearings.
Thing is, this isn’t the first, second, or even forty-seventh time the press has gone after someone for wrong-think. Memories Pizza immediately springs to mind. A rocket scientist who wore the wrong shirt. The CEO of Mozilla. I’m sure we could come up with a nearly endless list of people whose lives have been disrupted or destroyed because some member of the press considered them to have the wrong viewpoints.
Remember, the press is not about disseminating information. Not in the 21st Century. No, the press sees itself as the keepers of the correct ways of thinking. And if you should fail to think correctly about something and the press notices you’re not marching in lock-step, it will use its power to destroy you.
Blackmail? The press doesn’t blackmail. That would suggest it will withhold your destruction as long as you give in to its demands. The press doesn’t withhold. It doesn’t say “do this or else.” It jumps immediately to the or else — personal destruction for not thinking right.
And how I will laugh and laugh and be amused greatly.
Sheesh. Don Lemon makes one little comment about a missing airliner being swallowed by a black hole and it’s nothing but “morons this” and “morons that.”
Stop. Right. There.
I gotta go outside and smoke an unfiltered Camel.
I haven’t seen the video in question. This isn’t it, right?
If a meme of WWF or Trump Karate invites violence, everyone should turn off the TV for their own safety.
We’re far enough into comments. Would someone care to explain weaponized autism to me, the woefully uninformed.
There are places on the net, notably the /pol group on 4chan, that are filled with Asperger’s types, who love nothing more than to get into these types of situations. Between the group, they have expertise in everything under the sun, and have produced some really impressive results, including locating things hidden around the world, and identifying masked Antifa felons.
The internet historian is here to help
Its the focused power of lonely men on the internet.
Its a kind of crowd sourced shenanigans of surreal absurdity with a kind of moral code.
Seems to me there’re a whole lotta peeps out there that need to get laid. Really, really need to get laid.
But if they can’t and they sublimate their desires into wrecking CNN instead, that’s more than fine by me.
Yes.
CNN energizes me. It’s like Red Bull. It makes me wanna…
My wife won’t let me do that.
This is what I was going to mention. I spent a few years on Reddit, and the one thing that CNN should have known is, if you go after someone on Reddit, you will be the subject of revenge from the entire population of Reddit. They really don’t care who you are; they protect their own.
You just don’t do it, and especially so if you are a major corporation. It is Public Relations Suicide, because there are people on there just waiting for the opportunity to rip something or someone to pieces.
Like a rabid internet pit bull. Making CNN dog meat?
Cool. ?
Thanks all for the info on the interwebs.
I did look some, but I am skeptical about internet searches with crazy links. I did a search and gathered the story about the flag, but only from the search summary.
Oh and there was some cray cray ? to be found as well.
Smash the fash.
Awesome story about bike lock boy.
They are like the internet Criminal Minds crew.
Bahahaha. Anchorman fight.
I did not see that coming.
