Trump Has Driven CNN Stark, Raving Mad

CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski replaced beach-goer Chris Christie as the internet’s goat of the week.
While the rest of America was celebrating Independence Day, CNN kept digging its own grave.
Furious over a silly video President Donald Trump posted Sunday, the flailing network sicced Senior Editor Andrew Kaczynski on its creator. He tracked down an anonymous Reddit user who first posted the GIF of Trump tackling a wrestler whose head was replaced with a CNN logo. Kaczynski then found out the person’s real name and threatened to release it if he misbehaved again:
After posting his apology, “HanA**holeSolo” called CNN’s KFile and confirmed his identity. In the interview, “HanA**holeSolo” sounded nervous about his identity being revealed and asked to not be named out of fear for his personal safety and for the public embarrassment it would bring to him and his family.
CNN is not publishing “HanA**holeSolo’s” name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.
CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.
That’s right: a Senior Editor for CNN is blackmailing an American citizen for daring to criticize them.
This isn’t Kaczynski’s first attempt at destroying a private citizen’s life. As a BuzzFeed reporter, he gained notoriety for publicizing a lame joke Tweeted by a 30-year-old PR director named Justine Sacco. As Sacco was boarding a plane from London to Cape Town, South Africa, she poked fun at many people’s poor understanding of the continent. Kaczynski decided the joke was racist and helped gin up a digital lynch mob while she was in the air for 11 hours sans internet. By the time Sacco landed, she was mobbed by reporters, was fired from her job, and had to go into hiding. [Update: Another link demonstrating Kaczynski’s role is here.]
Kaczynski’s insanity was just the latest in CNN’s string of horrible decisions related to Trump. Last week, CNN accepted the resignations of three star journalists over their retracted story falsely connecting a Trump associate to a Russian bank. Before that, CNN’s parent company helped fund a performance of Julius Caesar, in which a Trump stand-in is assassinated. In the past month, the network retracted another anti-Trump story proved false by James Comey’s testimony, fired Kathy Griffin for posing with an effigy of Trump’s decapitated head, and censured host Reza Aslan for wishing rape on a Republican congressman. Not to mention the Project Veritas videos catching CNN employees mocking Americans and admitting that the endless Russia allegations are a big nothing-burger.
For all the criticism of Trump’s self-defeating tweets, his steady attacks on CNN have provoked the network to reveal how awful they truly are. Perhaps the President can Tweet a new video in which CNN body-slams itself.

Great post!
Except, why call Trump’s tweets “self-defeating”? Everything he posts turns out to be accurate within a few days. And doesn’t your article show his tweets are not self-defeating; in fact, they draw out his enemies and expose them.
Defeat your enemies. Drive them before you. And listen to the crying and lamentations of CNN.
I am sure the folks at CNN all feel like such the good guys, speaking “Truth to Power” as they use their power to bully someone.
Wow – I didn’t realize this was the same guy.
Seems blackmail is also illegal in NY. The young man in question should file a criminal complaint.
CNN is making a mortal enemy for life out of essentially everybody under 40.
Anybody seen “HanA**holeSolo” and @ejhill in the same room?
CNN is showing themselves to be the journalistic equivalent of Bob Hope in a hippie wig.
To borrow from a friend of mine, in a culture war, never bet against the side that’s have more fun.
Who’s having more fun now, Trump supporters, or CNN?
LOL! Here’s the one @ejhill sent to me …..
Kaczynski Dox’ed in 3…2…1….
The network of Fareed Zakaria, Kathy Griffin and Assasination Porn in the Park….
Thanks, Jon. This is so typical of the left. You can say anything, no matter how horrible, about the Right, even incite others on the Left to do violence against the Right, but woe be to anyone on the Right who even scowls at someone on the Left, especially in the MSM.
I think your headline says it all. President Trump broke CNN.
Here’s more breakage! Hey Alisyn, turn that Trump frown upside down!
Proportional response (and also kinda funny)

This is going to be fun…
They have, indeed, gone round the bend.
Much attention has been paid to the Alisyn Camerota interview with Rep Scott Taylor about Trump’s CNN wrestling tweet, but as far as I can see, no-one’s paid much attention to what I think is the most important bit of the interview (and it’s not the frowny-faces she keeps pulling, or the big spectacles she’s wearing, which are, I guess, supposed to make her look like the smartest girl in the room).
It’s this:
A similar exchange occurs a bit later in the interview.
So, here we have a reporter with what is perhaps the world’s largest news channel, admitting that the only way they can find out what is going on is from Donald Trump’s Tweet stream? What the hell ever happened to actual news reporting?
Sad!
They are the new Brownshirts through and through.
#CNNBlackmail is number 1 hashtag on twitter.
This really will be fun….
Julian Assange has pointed to the NY criminal code
Yep seems to fit.
Newsweek headline: CNN Accused of Blackmailing The Reddit User Who Made Trump Wrestling Meme
The story then reads: “CNN is once again the target of the right’s ire…”
This is @andrewklavan 101 (paraphrasing): if the scandal is on the right, the scandal is reported as the news; if the scandal is on the left, the accuser is reported as the news.
CNN admits to blackmailing. It’s OK to report: “CNN Blackmails…” or “CNN Producer Admits to Blackmailing…”
Nah, the 12 year old name calling isn’t helping him at all. This however was hilarious and CNN is incredibly stupid for reacting to the video to begin with, let alone trying to make themselves out as victims over it.
You guys got played man. lmao
You are missing the point. There are a million anti-Trump mash-ups out there. Why would you post them here?
Let me help you with the point. There was one – one – anti-CNN mash-up and look what CNN did. They may have actually broken the law going after the guy who made a silly Internet mash-up.
The point is: Trump. Broke. CNN.
Wow- and here I thought that no one could be a bigger drama queen over this meme than Ana Navarro. Guess Kaczynski deserves the crown now.
Except we wouldn’t be seeing CNN acting “incredibly stupid” if not for the “12 year old name calling.”
Uh, really? If they want to fashion themselves as the grownups in these situations I can see no evidence of it.
I think it’s a mixed bag. I agree that his tweeting at the legacy media who want to destroy him is useful, but on the other hand some tweets (like the one about Mika’s facelift) do more harm than good.
The DPRK is not executing Otto Warmbier because he has issued an extensive statement of apology and showed his remorse for the ugly behavior of disrespecting the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.
The DPRK reserves the right to turn him into a vegetable should any of that change.
@ctlawYou weren’t suggesting Andrew is actually related to Ted, I hope. (I’ve always had sympathy for the Unabomber’s mother and brother. )
Let the pizza delivery begin….
