Keep NYC Trash Free
These posters have popped up in New York City:
As you might have guessed, the sanitation department didn’t put these up. They were put up by an artist trying to send a message. From the posters you can see that by trash he means white people who support Trump, read the Bible, or eat Chick-Fil-A. So if ever voted for Trump, read the Bible, or ate a chicken sandwich then you are a bad person who should stay out of NYC.
Some of the other posters, however, did convey a message I can get behind:

They are all horrible. Calling your political or tribal opponents “trash” is disgusting.
Deal. If they promise never to leave NYC.
It’s a left-wing Sabo. Cannot get too upset.
Bigotry is alive and well in NYC.
Sanitation department is trying to make clear, over and over again, that they weren’t a part of this
The Chick-fil-A thing makes me laugh because the world’s largest Chick-fil-A store is in Manhattan.
Do you think the last poster is supposed to be friendly-funny? I hope so.
I don’t know why they need subversive posters. Hasn’t de Blasio pretty much made the same public announcements?
When I was a little kid my dad would bring me to Yankee stadium and I became a big fan. When he retired to the Cape he ended up becoming a huge RedSox fan which resulted in a lot of good natured ribbing. So I think it is all good fun, but if your coming to the city . . . leave the Brady jersey at home.
Tiny Dancer ( Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel) certainly did when he said Trump supporters and Chick- Fil-A don’t reflect “Chicago Values” and weren’t welcome….
This doesn’t seem quite like Sabo to me.
Free speech, of course. ‘Nuff said.
But has no one on the left noticed the true antecedent?
My daughter is living in New York, and she is a Red Sox and Patriots fan. Too funny. She and her husband had a great time at Yankee Stadium cheering for the Red Sox this summer. :-)
Chicken too tasty!
I may have had that wrong. De Blasio might have said it, but Gov. Cuomo is on record as saying that pro-life and pro-gun Republicans are not welcome in New York. Only squishy Republicans are allowed.
Hate incidents (hate is not a crime) run rampant among the politically correct (morally corrupt) crowd.
Here is an incident in Scotland. A pastor rightly complained to the Scottish government that the Scottish government was promoting hate.
I think I’ll send these posters to all my friends.
This is why Trump won. This is why Trump will keep winning.
Just stand back and watch them beat themselves…
I saw that and the posters in Scotland actually were put up by the government.
Has Sabo ever attacked Democratic Party supporters directly, or does he merely attack the Democratic Party as an organization?
Chick-Fil-A supports Christian values like “love thy neighbour”, “love thine enemy”, and “judge not lest ye be judged”, so Rahm might not realize what he’s revealing about his idea of “Chicago Values”.
He has attacked Hollywood as a class with his Oscars posters.
My thoughts exactly. The next series of posters should include an American flag. And a policeman in uniform. And a stay-at-home mom baking an apple pie.
When the Left insists on continuing to dig, give it a backhoe. Always happy to help.
It’s another good reason to only support semi-pro baseball teams. Less politics, and you’re supporting non-millionaires who play the game for the love of it.
How does your daughter feel about making the trip up to Pomona NY to see the Rockland Boulders? Google Maps says it’s only an hour’s drive from the United Nations building.
;-)
I hope someone’s working on those right now.
Another reason I am not upset about these. It is better than yanking MAGA hats off people’s heads. As long as it is just speech, I am fine with it.
EvenEspecially when I oppose the message. How did Trump do with NYC voters in 2016, compared to previous Republican candidates? I wager that he did pretty well, relatively speaking.
Wait, is the artist left wing or right wing? Because if he’s a lefty, these posters, in my opinion really help the right. The left doesn’t want their awful opinions thrown in their face this bluntly, but NY lefty’s do feel this way.
You should see the Manhattan storage ads, and those are legit.
So, Sabo attacks the millionaires and billionaires who control the levers of media power, while this NYC “artist” attacks regular folks.
Anybody know which parts of NYC these posters are appearing? Would I be wrong to wager that they aren’t targeted at the “regular folks” of NYC but rather at the opinionmongers and hipsters who dwell and/or work in the more expensive neighbourhoods?
Manhattan Storage has a long history of doing ads with left-wing messages. Sometimes they’re just controversial.
With regards to the OP, @seawriter is right. This is just a left-wing Sabo.
And at least that third one in the OP is non-controversial.
Oh don’t I know it. Every time I drive down the West Side Highway I see a giant left wing opinion emblazed in blue. But unlike them, I just roll my eyes and move along, I don’t try to get it taken down.
