In my opinion, President Reagan is the Greatest President of the Twentieth Century. He was kind, visionary and spoke to our better angels. He followed the Eleventh Commandment, to not speak ill of any other Republican.
In my opinion, Trump is the worst President in history. He has the morals of Bill Clinton, the honesty of a Richard Nixon, the stable administration of a Warren Harding, the humility of a Lyndon Johnson, the anger of an Andrew Jackson, and the self-righteousness of a Jimmy Carter. He is a terrible manager and a horrible bully.
It is a sacrilege and outrage to mention Trump and President Reagan in the same sentence.
I’m glad Kimball sees what is going on in the country and how Trump fits the present crisis perfectly.
President Trump is God’s gift to the country.

I dont understand never-trumpism anymore. As much as some dont like it, he’s president, accept it and move on…
Its healthy to accept reality.
The reality is that we will be slaughtered in 2018. Instead of going for a filibuster proof Senate, we will likely lose the House, and could lose the Senate! Is Trump, the person worth a 10 senator swing, and losing the House? I think not.
Our only hope is President Pence.
Put every calamity at the feet of Trump. The orange master of disaster.
I think it’ll go the other way. The democrats are defending 18 seats. I dont think they’ll hold them.
They’ll try to keep the senate in session so the Trump can not make recess appointments. This is the hill where they should die. The republicans should not allow pro forma session – but rather keep working. Force the senators who should be out campaigning to stay in Washington for votes – or to loose those votes… Its a win-win.
If this strategy pans out I can see the republicans picking up seats in Trump country. Maybe 6 or 7.
I don’t see that. Most likely Gary’s friends will off Trump before 2018. But if Trump is still around the Dems and their antiTrump allies will tear the nation down to win back the offices for the Democrats. I expect a lot of civil unrest as the forces opposing Trump ramp up their machines.
Republicans gain seats in 2018 if the economy is ok. The dems are in full disarray with only hysteria as a weapon. The election will not be a complete referendum on Trump at all but about directional ideas, patriotism, and corruption.
The dems have a huge corruption problem that’s about to get a lot worse.
The dems are tied to anti-American groups and anti-White racism.
The dems have a lot of entrenched business as usual white folks who supported kneecapping Sanders. The party split is profound.
Gary, what do you think of Rogers discussion about Never Trumpers (of which he was practically one during the election).
I look for the Fed to raise interest rates and trash the economy. Got to get their buddies back in office.
I see funded race riots and chaos. I see the potential for Antifa terror groups doing anything , including murder to achieve their ends.
The goal will be to expose their games as rapidly as possible and turn the country against their violence and hate.
THIS. Pass tax reform and reduce medical costs = win.
At least Gary will be happy with a failed or removed Trump.

They often don’t care who’s in power if they control the currency.
Yes, the rioting will continue, until someone gets killed. Then the police should step in and start laying charges of racketeering, conspiracy and incitement to riot to the financiers.
The 2016 election was the worst example of an election. IF we don’t start prosecuting those who incited riots – not with cutesy resume builder charges – but with charges that will evoke some serous time. Then we’ll normalize the worst aspects of the 2016 election.
Not going to happen as long as the riots benefit the Left.
Well fortuitously they dont run the DOJ right now. Money supporters and organizers all crossed state lines to chase down Trump rallies to attempt to disrupt as many as possible. The FBI should be looking into these violations. Also the office of civil rights should be looking into this interference for attempting to disrupt the 1st amendment rights of the other party. IT would be an irony overdose if the party that claims to be for civil rights, gets clocked for violating civil rights.
Best laugh I have had all night. All the government is ran by Democrat bureaucrats furthering Democrat objectives. It prefers Democrat political masters since it is easier to further the Democrat goals but if it gets GOP political masters They can just be ignored, delayed, obstructed and interpreted away until the Democrat political masters are back in place. You don’t see Trump getting much done do you? Notice how they are investigating him and talking about impeaching him? Well it’s not Trump. The government bureaucracy will do this too any non Democrat political class master.
The DOJ will not find anything on Democrat allies. The FBI will start writing exoneration letters before it starts any investigation, if it bothers to investigate at all. The riots will continue and increase as long as they hurt GOP. The government will not stop it and may even help them. Maybe give them space to riot and destroy. On the other hand if GOP allies take the field like the tea party did. Well we saw the start of how that went down. Next time it will be harder, faster.
The biggest mistake that Trump made was on Jan 20, when he kept so many Obama appointees on the job. He thought he was being magnanimous, but he’s been suckered. This has been the cause of his leak problems, his inability to get any policy implemented, and the slow walking of all his appointments. During that long meeting with Obama (after the election) he should have told him, that his administration ends on Jan 20, and all of his appointees will leave their jobs at 5pm that day.
That one simple step could have saved him so much trouble.
If that happens, I will say “You told me so, and be gracious about it.” If that does not happen, do you promise to do the reverse?
You don’t get it. It’s not the political class and the appointees that are the problem. It’s the bureaucracy, it is Democrats that support the Democrat political class and fights the Republican political class.
No I get that. The problem is even worse in Canada. Where the Privy Council runs the bureaucracy, almost independently of the government.
Without the top layer of leadership the rank and file workers – people who actually need their jobs – would perform their jobs as they’re tasked. (or at least go through the motions) Unlike the appointees who need policy accomplishments for resume polish, than the actual job. Getting fired by the Trump administration would not be a career killer for these people.

I will be sad for my country and my party. I will do my best to not say “I told you so” about Trump.

My role in life is to seek popularity but to speak the truth.
At a conference in early February 2001 in front of 500 people, 90% of whom agreed with him, the Dean of the local law school denounced the Bush v. Gore decision. I raised my hand and then proceeded to point out that the Florida Supreme Court had acted unconstitutionally and that the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated the ruling of the trial court. She backed down. Should I have not spoken up given how few “likes” I got in this public setting?
I will do my best. To quote an excellent guide for living ones life: “And when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.”
Finally, listened to the podcast. I really liked what Mr. Kimball had to say. For some (most?) NT’s the truth hurts, no?
