It’s the last show before the election and once again, we’re Super-Sized. Let’s face it, folks: everything we’ve done over the past two years have led up to this moment, and we’ve got a plethora or guests to parse and analyze all the news that’s fit to listen to.

Our guests this week are Ricochet Editor Troy Senik, Ricochet contributor and polling expert Adam Schaeffer, Ricochet member Scott Reusser, who’s on the ground (literally) in Ohio, and Rick Wilson, political operative to the stars. We wrap up with The Big Story of The Week but not before Peter makes a stunning pronouncement as to who his dream presidential candidate really is. Hint: it’s not a certain cartoon carnivore.

Apologies for the audio quality during the last 5 minutes of today’s show. We’ll do better under the next administration.

    Don’t you mean 1999, EJ? ;)

EJHill: James, why should I redirect to RobLong.com? It ain’t been updated since last August… · 1 hour ago

Also, loved the Lileks turn of phrase “braying Eeyore-ism” – cracking up here!

  3. Israel P.

Big story of next week -

Democrats to the barricades; claim big Romney “win “is evidence of vote fraud.

  4. Yeah...ok.

    Finally, ear candy. Thank you.

  5. Sabrdance

This is pedantic, but it’s also important.  It’s Meep Meep.

  6. Sabrdance

I have this image of Democrats in hemp skirts circling around a burning McCain-Palin Sign klan-style, while reading from the collected sayings of Joe Biden (their greatest collection of threats and curses).

    EJHill, make it happen!!!

On behalf of Rob and James, we stand corrected.  And you’re quite right, Sabrdance.  It is important.

  8. lone conservative

Guys, I love you, but you’re scaring me to death!! Doubling the prayers now.  I do think the poll breakdowns utilizing 2008 assumptions are why we aren’t looking as good as we should be, but every vote counts.

  9. The Mugwump

Well, I already gave you my best shot (H/T Scott Reusser for the mention).  Logic says Romney should win.  If logic doesn’t carry the day, then we’re in deeper trouble than mere politics can solve.

  10. La Dernière Lettre

Despite this podcast, I’m still going to vote!  You can’t bring me down.

  11. kylez

If I was on this podcast I would have asked Troy if there are still going to be Young Guns podcasts in the future. I hope so.

  12. Danihel Tornator

Rick Wilson – My mind reels at concept that McKenna could be leading by 5 points in WA! I lost the train of the conversation while that sunk in and then had to rewind to pick it up again. Can we get more details on that internal poll?

  13. Wylee Coyote

The anvil is an especially nice touch.

You should know, Paules, that one particularly long, rambling yawner of an analysis of mine was rightfully edited out – but in it I predicted that, when it came right down to it, OH would do the right thing and show Obama the door.

Thanks Peter, Rob, James, and Troy. That was fun. And, holy cow, do I now appreciate how hard it is to be interesting. You guys make it seem easy.

Is the link working right?  I’m having problems with it in iTunes.

  16. Sabrdance

I swear, when James started going down the Man of La Mancha routine, I thought he was about to pitch another Hillsdale course.

  17. Fred Cole: Is the link working right?  I’m having problems with it in iTunes. · 16 minutes ago

Fred,  The file was put in the wrong place. It should be available in iTunes momentarily.

  18. Gus Marvinson

Nowhere did I hear anyone mention the dramatic oversampling of Democrats in the polls. Unless Dems truly turn out in 2008 numbers, and Republicans under-represent, election day is going to be very good for our side.

Peter, I think Sabrdance was referring to my EJHill credit. He’s correct and it has been fixed.

  20. Jim Chase

Really enjoyed the segment with Scott.  Nicely done Scott!
