Sure. “Many who worship Reagan” have this tendency. But “worship” itself is a huge problem. “Respect” and “admire” are about as far as we should go with a politician, don’t you think? Even with Reagan, who was a good man and a fine president.
“Put not your trust in princes” is an idea Conservatives have long believed. (Unlike the Left, whose affection for Obama often tipped over into idolatry.)
Classical Liberalism and Libertarianism are absolutely not the same thing.
Libertarians believe in zero taxes, no safety net, and near-100% isolationism.
Classical Liberals do not. And Jonah himself does not.
This presupposes that Jonah and Steve would’ve reacted differently if another president had done the same thing.
Do you really believe that?
I think they might have looked for some kind of logic or reason behind the decision, not just ascribed it to stupidity.
Okay. I categorically disagree. I think it was about the decision, not the man, but you have a different opinion.
