The Obama Scandal Bracket 2014 — Jon Gabriel
Since nothing else is going on in the world, President Obama went on ESPN today to unveil his annual NCAA bracket.
The President’s “Barack-etology” always gets big buzz from the media, unlike his administration’s growing mountain of scandals. Wouldn’t it be convenient to organize the bad news into a format the average reporter can follow?
Why bet on the NCAA when you can bet on America’s future? Enjoy the Obama Scandal Bracket, updated for March Madness 2014!

Well, a lot of these will get dropped, but they’ll be around for next year!!!
My money’s on “racism” for the win.
Clever!
Jon,
Will Warren Buffet give me $1 Billion if I do a perfect bracket? Don’t tell Warren but I’d pay him if BHO has a short second term.
Also, this is the kind of sports reporting that I really enjoy. I’d like some enhancements, OK. How about a Supreme Court locker room interview, Senate or House Investigative Hearing instant replay, a report on the progress of candidates with images on the injured reserve list, and, of course, a special on the cheer leaders for the special prosecutor.
Jon, see if Rob will pop for this. Run it up the flag pole and see who…wait a minute… the flag is already up there. Pitch him, OK.
Regards,
Jim
For every perfect bracket, the GAO will add $1 billion to the national debt.
This. is. glorious.
Failed foreign policy is quickly becoming its own bracket.
Gee Jon, not exactly “On Wisconsin”. That’s what the GAO needs a fight song. How about the “Pathetique” by Tchaikovsky. Regards, Jim
Drawing red lines without a straight edge.
Getting pantsed by Putin in Syria.
Getting pantsed by Putin in Ukraine.
Cutting the military while getting pantsed by Putin, Bashar al-Assad, et. al.
The Hut on Fowl’s Legs, by Mussorgsky.
That’s right Percival. The world is the pantser and Obama is the pantsee.

I think this is a poor argument when used against our side or their side. If this impacts the President’s ability to do his job, then cut it out. I suspect it does not impact his ability to do his job. Even if this truly did distract him from executing his duties, since most of us think that government is best which governs least, should we not welcome wastes of time such as this? I find this entire line of argument to be unfruitful and illogical. It may be made in jest, but it often seems more sincere than jocular.
I believe part of the president’s job is to send a message to the world. When a consistently weak, distracted leader doubles down on this reputation during a battle of wills and arms, I believe it hurts America’s position in the world. Every day Putin gets more aggressive and every day Obama gets more ridiculous. Signals are important.
Agreed.

I look forward to the say when there’s a genuine NHL fan in the White House, then I might know what the heck he (or she) is talking about when using sports analogies.
FYI: Canada’s Conservative Prime Minister recently had his book published about the early history of the Toronto Maple Leafs and professional hockey. That’s a bit more impressive than a basketball bracket, no?
