McSally vs. Sinema vs. Election Officials: Saturday Edition
Another batch of votes came in for the Arizona US Senate race, and Kyrsten Sinema has again extended her lead over Martha McSally. Sinema now leads by 29,832 votes, or 1.41%. At the end of Thursday’s count, she led by about 20,000 votes, or 1.01%.
Based on where and when tomorrow’s votes were cast, McSally’s numbers should improve (at least according to her camp). However, she’s running out of room to maneuver. As it stands, McSally must win 55% of the remaining ~264,000 ballots to win.
With hundreds of thousands of votes yet to be counted, we’ll need to wait a few days to determine the winner. And then, the recount. And the legal battles.

That’s a beautifully crafted clause.
Arizona vote counting process?
How is this even close? Do the people of AZ not get the news? Haven’t they seen the way Sinema speaks about them?
We’re too strung out on meth to understand what she’s saying.
They voted early. Didnt the early voting begin before these videos surfaced?
Those are the people who really regretted their votes … Imagine casting the vote, then finding out the candidate beats his wife or something…
The third-worldization of America continues apace.
Have absentee military ballots been counted? The Dems have a habit of ignoring those . . .
Yah, but we can’t just get rid of the dirty Trump voters that have done this to us.
How did it come to this?
Apparently Arizona doesn’t want Florida to hog all the voting corruption and incompetence attention.
Is there causation behind the correlation that states with large populations of relocated retirees have corrupt voting systems?
When the next round of invectives to “get out and vote,” I’m becoming tempted to respond, “Why bother?”
Counter Punching.
I read McSally’s bio and am awed by the sheer competence on display. I guess I don’t understand how others don’t respond likewise. I would vote for her just based on that, whether or not I lined up with her on every policy decision. Seems to me the Senate could use some of that. But I guess I’m not an extreme ideologue.
No, no, no! For better or worse, Arizona (and California and Oregon) have robust Vote by Mail systems. Every signature of the outside of the envelope has to be checked against the signature on record. These votes are not tallied until after the election.
Col. Clifford A. Brown, Ret., is a strong Trump supporter. Jon Gabriel is our Chief. Doug Watt is a frequent OP writer, and voted a straight ticket. All live in Arizona. None of them have suggested fraud.
McSally embraced Trump, and is paying the price. ETTD.
McSally embraced Trump. Arizona Governor Doug Ducey did not embrace Trump and he won by a landslide.
No, no, no! See Comment #14.
What do you recommend?
That’s not the issue I’m getting at.
McSally will likely lose because she embraced Trump. The very large majority of Arizona’s population is suburban, where Trump is being rejected.
Trump will lose in Arizona if he runs in 2020. Romney won Arizona by 9% in 2012. Trump squeezed by with 3% in 2016, If Trump runs in 2020, he will lose in Arizona.
What is the issue you are getting at?
What in the Hell.
Hmmm, could it be the issue of a person who came here from a Communist country and mostly spends his time denigrating our people and our government?
Alinsky tactics, and Critical theory work. All Democrats use this stuff reflexively now. The mediaIs 99% pro-statist. No one has messed with this stuff like Trump has. What is your plan?
Furthermore, how do you get elected when everyone gets what a scam government is? I just heard a great podcast interview that prove my point on this. The podcast is called “Super Investors” and the latest interview is with a guy named David Tepper. In summary, he says workers are getting the shaft because we don’t have a libertarian financial system. The GOP has never offered any communication or plans to deal with any of this. People are sick of it. So they voted for Trump.
I mean it’s just laughable when they talk about Trump running up the debt. It will get worse. At least he’s doing some other things well.
Having said that, I thought Ben Shapiro was pretty compelling on the 2020 election, on the flagship.
Something that was really notable about that Ben Shapiro interview was, he said that Bush got 11 million new voters between 2000 in 2004. Well guess what Bush is notorious for among people I follow. Medicare part D. a $9 trillion Instant unfunded liability so they could finish off the Iraq war. The surge.
I don’t even respect Ronald Reagan that much in this sense. You can look at the charts yourself, that’s when the debt to GDP angles started getting ridiculous. There’s no turning back. There’s nothing that can be done.
The more I learn about cultural Marxism stuff the more I’m glad Trump is in there to set an example on how to lead. People are sick of this stuff for good reason.
The other thing is the ACA should be gone. Trump won and it should’ve been wiped out. He said he’d sign anything. See? Socialism and free stuff is a real bitch to stop. Cloward and Piven.
Not suggesting fraud by this, just incompetence. If they’re going to use such a system, they should be tallied when received. So if every state switched to this misbegotten method, we’d wait weeks to know who won elections, and open them up to even more fraud potential.
And another thing. Mia Love call Trump a racist. She either meant it, or Jake Tapper tricked her into saying it. She’s probably just another Republican that is a lousy leader, or it’s just hard to be a good leader in her district.
Those dirty Trump voters are probably the ones who do most of the Mike Rowe Dirty Jobs and have dirt on their hands, beards, and under their fingernails in order to bring you the energy and material resources for one’s home, automobile, computers, and smart phones.
Trump voters are the ones smuggling people and non-freedom tribalistic ideas in from the Third World?!!!!
This is a big part of the issue: honesty and productivity doesn’t pay like it should. People are sick of it, so they tried Trump.
I cannot recommend enough listening to David Tepper on that super investors podcast. He gets into it about a third of the way in.
