Mollie Hemingway on All-Star Panel Discusses GOP Healthcare Plan

Ricochet’s favorite pundit Mollie Hemingway was back on the airwaves last night discussing the Obamacare repeal plan put out by the GOP.
Mollie’s terrific. She’s also a reliable go-to when the media want to get a reaction from the conservative or libertarian side. She can speak in quick but intelligible sentences, she doesn’t ramble, and she knows when to stop talking. TV discipline – she’s got that down now.
As for the Obamacare repeal … we’re only at the overture, and the people are still shuffling into their seats. Long way to go on this one.
Agreed, Mollie did great. I’ve never seen Krauthammer struggle so much to complete a thought. Was he tired?
Krauthammer has surrendered on the issue, as it seems Ryan and many Republicans have. They not only accept the entitlement but agree to blatantly unsustainable guarantees and coercion of a nominally free industry (medical insurance). What they are offering is just Democrat lite, not a significant alternative.
I thought it would take 6 months for them to surrender. Where is the effort to move the electorate toward conservatism with PR and leadership? This is (Bill) Clintoneque politics by polling.
Dr. K sounded and looked like he had a stroke. I hope nothing is actually wrong.
Trump is simply an old FDR Democrat in Republican clothing, so the Obamacare replacement (surrender, as you call it) is not going to surprise me in the least.
Yeah, I noticed Krauthammer’s struggle last night and wondered what was going on. I hope he’s ok. It’s interesting because sometimes I really, really disagree with him. On this, for instance. And also on the so-called government shutdown of 2013. (He still maintains it was a “disaster” for the Republicans…even though they went on to have a historic election in 2014 and then to win the White House in 2016…)
