My father is in the hospital, 3,000 miles away. He had deteriorated over the past week from a walking, talking, engaging man into one who was barely conscious, confused, extremely lethargic, etc. They allowed him into the ER, did some testing, and then tried to release him.

I took the test results and fed them to Grok. Grok said "here are the problems," and offered a list of things to check, confirm, and possible treatments. Based on Grok's feedback (and with strenuous input from my father's helper), the hospital admitted him after all, and is trying to solve the underlying problem instead of merely shuffling him back home to die.

I have no doubt whatsoever that AI just extended my father's life. So, notwithstanding my panic concerning AI, there is that. Grok provided an instant, helpful, and detailed medical analysis from a set of test results.

I hope they check for a UTI. Very common in seniors, who don't even realize they have it. By the time they realized what was going on with my mother, it was too late.

I read somewhere a malfunctioning gall bladder is another possible cuplrit in an undiagnosed medical problem . . .

Yes, thank you. A UTI is suspected.

Thanks be to God, who gave you the gifts you use to love your father. And to your father’s helper who cares and advocated for him.

I feel guilty when I say I despise AI, because I'm doing what the anti-gun fools do...I'm blaming the tool. I don't want it used to spoil the audiobook business. I do want it used for things like this.

The information was out there. I'm glad you pulled it in to where you need it, and I'm glad you're the kind of person who won't stop until you have some answers.

    Very best of luck.
