Mamdani’s 10/7 Disgrace, LA Dems’ Tax Backfires, Iran’s UK Plot | Last Call

Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week, they discuss New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani unloading on Israel on the three-year anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attacks, another lefty tax scheme blowing up in Dems' faces, new evidence of a deeper Iranian plot against America's presence at a UK military base, and the Ft. Hood terrorist learns when he will be executed. First, they slam Mayor Mamdani, who opened his tweet with an appropriate remembrance of the horrific Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel but then spent much more time addressing what he considers the "genocide," "war crimes," and "apartheid" of Israel. Jim and Greg call out the falsehoods, the ghoulish timing, and how Mamdani's stance is now the position of the vast majority of Democrats. Next, the tackle another left-wing tax embarrassment. The "Mansion Tax" in Los Angeles was supposed to bring in huge revenues and pay for low-income housing.

El-Sayed Ducks Key Iran-Israel Question, Rogers Raises Al Qaeda Claim

Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they chronicle Abdul El-Sayed dodging what should be an easy debate question about Iran and Israel, Vice President JD Vance missing the mark when asked to define socialism, the debate over whether the Ft. Hood terrorist's execution should be made public, and more. First, they highlight Michigan Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed refusing to say whether he believes Iran or Israel is a bigger threat to the United States. Jim explains how his non-answer tells us a lot. They also remark on how El-Sayed mother became relevant in the campaign last night. Next, they scratch their heads as Vice President Vance defines socialism as the Democrats pushing for boys in girls' sports and globalists importing foreign workers at the expense of job for Americans. While those should be opposed, Jim and Greg define what socialism is and why that matters - especially when we're just a few weeks from Election Day and so many candidates on the left are embracing that label. Then, they wade into the debate over the military announcing that the execution of Ft. Hood terrorist Nidal Hasan will be livestreamed. Jim explains why he's conflicted over that move. Greg points out the hypocrisy of so many on the left who are outraged by this decision. Finally, Jim and Greg explain why the podcast will sound a bit different for the next couple of weeks. The Dems’ Unwanted Endorsement, Terror in the Skies, TikTok is Bad for You | Last Call

Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week, they discuss Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) endorsing Democrats in the midterm elections, an apparent terrorist attack by a pilot on a plane with many Israeli passengers, new research showing that social media short videos are damaging our brains, and the intensely negative ads about Sunday's Bears-Jets game. First, they have fun with the IRGC telling Americans to vote for Democrats. It also lies about the Iranian nuclear program and whines about being on the U.S. list of terrorist organizations. Jim says this would not be the first time terrorists or their sponsors injected themselves into a U.S. election. Next, they discuss Wednesday's breaking news of a FlyDubai flight that nearly crashed after a co-pilot allegedly stabbed the pilot and sent the plane into a dive before he was subdued by passengers, many of whom were Israeli. Then, they react to new research showing that short videos on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube shorts are damaging our brains and especially our memories. Jim discusses the value of sustained focus on tasks and Greg condemns the algorithms and our inability to put the phones down. Finally, they have fun with the fierce attack ads against the Bears and Jets heading into Sunday's game. New episodes every weekday. 👉 Subscribe to the show so you never miss a moment. Trump Crackdown on ‘Ghost Student’ Fraud Saves Taxpayers $200 Million

Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they weigh on on several prominent Democrats injecting themselves into the "Cornell 7" case, Maine Senate hopeful Troy Jackson being frustrated that Jewish voters don't believe Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, the Trump administration going atter "ghost student" fraud and saving taxpayers a lot of money, and the final installment of the vicious Bears-Jets attack ads ahead of Sunday's game. First, they're concerned several prominent Democrats are trying to inject themselves into the discussion of the morally bankrupt and possibly criminal "Cornell 7" case. AOC incorrectly ranted about it, Abdul El-Sayed chimed in too. And New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is putting Attorney General Tish James in charge of the investigation. Is this case about to be deeply politicized? Next, they shake their heads as Troy Jackson does damage control after being annoyed that Jewish voters reject his description of Gaza as genocide because that word make them think of the Holocaust. Jackson apologized, but what does this episode tell us about the left's mindset on this issue? New episodes every weekday. 👉 Subscribe to the show so you never miss a moment. Plot to Attack Texas State Capitol Thwarted One Day in Advance

Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they focus on why Republican Michele Tafoya has a real chance in the Minnesota Senate race, why Democrats will likely be disappointed in their efforts to score Senate upsets in deep red states, and Ken Paxton's comments about the GOP midterm convention. Plus, they react to a plot to attack the Texas State Capitol, and they unveil the latest attack ads ahead of Sunday's huge Bears-Jets game. First, they're cautiously hopeful that Michele Tafoya can actually win a U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota. Jim explains why Tafoya resonates well in a reliably Democratic state and which issues are hitting home for voters. Next, Jim takes us through the efforts of Democrats to take U.S. Senate seats in traditionally Republican states like Nebraska, South Carolina, and South Dakota, and he tells us why the GOP will most likely win in those places next month. Then, they react to the news of a planned attack on the Texas State Capitol being foiled just a day in advance. They also examine Texas GOP Senate candidate Ken Paxton's surprising take on the Republicans' midterm convention. Finally, the latest hard-hitting attack ads ahead of Sunday's Jets vs. Bears showdown. New episodes every weekday. 👉 Subscribe to the show so you never miss a moment. Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they dive into breaking news about an apparent terrorist attack by a pilot on a plane with many Israeli passengers, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) endorsing Democrats in the midterm elections, Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt stumbling badly in his questioning of former Special Counsel Jack Smith, and the latest intensely negative ads. First, they discuss the breaking news of a FlyDubai flight that nearly crashed after a co-pilot allegedly stabbed the pilot and sent the plane into a dive before he was subdued by passengers, many of whom were Israeli. Next, they have fun with the IRGC telling Americans to vote for Democrats. It also lies about the Iranian nuclear program and whines about being on the U.S. list of terrorist organizations. Jim says this would not be the first time terrorists or their sponsors injected themselves into a U.S. election. Then, they cringe as Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt's efforts to link former Special Counsel Jack Smith to the Trump probe in Fulton County, Georgia, fall apart when he (or his staff) confuse the Atlanta Hawks with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Jim and Greg also address the Senate Judiciary Committee, revealing the Smith probe collected communications from reporters of many different media organizations. James Talarico Makes ‘Biblical’ Case for Socialized Medicine

Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into Texas U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico grossly twisting scripture on health policy and more, new research showing that social media short videos are damaging our brains, the holdout Clancy juror speaking out for the first time, and the latest vicious attack ads. First, they're disgusted by Talarico saying that Jesus Christ didn't charge people for healing them so somehow it's bad for doctors to do it. Jim and Greg correct Talarico on scripture and policy, but Jim warns Republicans about what he learned on his recent trip to Texas. Next, they react to new research showing that short videos on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube shorts are damaging our brains and especially our memories. Jim discusses the value of sustained focus on tasks and Greg condemns the algorithms and our inability to put the phones down. Then, they applaud the holdout Clancy juror for speaking out and keeping the focus on the three small victims in the case instead of their murderer. However, they also hope he recedes from public view and is able to enjoy a normal life away from media scrutiny. Jim has a blunt message for the other jurors too. Dems Happy if Trump Dies, Obamacare Fraud, Failing Your Kid for a Cause | Last Call

This week, they discuss a new poll of Democrats showing way too many lefties would be happy if President Trump died or was removed in a military coup, the Trump administration rooting out many hundreds of thousands of fraudulent Obamacare enrollees, 1619 Project author Nikole Hannah-Jones confessing her rigid ideology forced her child to spend a decade in failing public schools, and the Wisconsin Democrats' gubernatorial candidate complaining about the "systemic racism and injustice" of beer gardens. A third would be happy to see Trump assassinated. Jim also notes the huge chunk of lefties who say they wouldn't care either way if those things happened.

Netanyahu Debunks Gaza Genocide Lie in UN Speech

Join Charlie Cooke and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they assess Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismantling accusations of Israel committing genocide in Gaza, Barack Obama wanting to create new rules for a "common discourse" in America, more evidence of the evils of cashless bail, and the big debate over bringing coffee to a job interview. First, they applaud Prime Minister Netanyahu's efforts to set the record straight on why genocide accusations against Israel are absurd. It's a convincing case, but Charlie explains why it won't convince many people who already think it's true. Next, they want nothing to do with former President Barack Obama's call for new town squares and new rules for our common political discourse. Charlie and Greg have seen this move from the left before and have a pretty good idea of the disturbing agenda Obama has in mind. Then, they sigh as a prominent Pittsburgh-area doctor is murdered in his own home by a criminal who was allowed out of jail on a "nonmonetary bond" for another felony. Charlie and Greg discuss the insanity of no-cash bail and how the left refuses to understand the concept of preventable crimes. Finally, they weigh in on the generational debate of the week about whether it's OK for Gen Z job applicants to bring coffee to job interviews. Join Charlie Cooke and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they focus on Argentinian President Javier Milei ripping the United Nations for its radical policies and for coddling the evil nations of the world, Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed lying about his position on government-run health care, Hasan Piker wanting a communist China-style cultural revolution, and Kamala Harris going back on the campaign trail with the same incoherent rhetoric. First, they cheer President Milei for calling the United Nations a "useless organization" maintained by "fatally arrogant parasites masquerading as well-intentioned bureaucrats." He also blasted the UN for protecting "bloodthirsty dictatorships" and much more. Charlie explains why Milei is right and why the UN is irretrievably flawed. Next, they highlight Abdul El-Sayed suddenly saying he is fine if people want to keep their private health insurance after months of saying he wants "Medicare for All" specifically because it will end private coverage.

First, they applaud the Trump administration for finding and removing more than 750,000 fraudulent Obamacare enrollees, many of whom are not even real people. So far, it's $2.2 billion in fraud, and Vice President Vance says hundreds of thousands more may be removed soon. Greg suspects we're still just scratching the surface on fraud. Next, they wince at polling numbers from the New York Times that show several congressional districts in Florida and Texas shifting heavily to the left after they went deep red in 2024.

New Poll Finds Democrats’ Shocking Reaction to the Idea of Trump Dying

Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they react to a new poll of Democrats showing way too many lefties would be happy if President Trump died or was removed in a military coup, the strangely chummy relationship between Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, the latest bizarre twists in the Nikole Hannah-Jones saga with NYC schools, and new attempts at major fraud in Minnesota. First, they're disturbed by a new poll of Democrats showing a majority would like to see President Trump die in his sleep or be removed by a military coup. A third would be happy to see Trump assassinated. Jim also notes the huge chunk of lefties who say they wouldn't care either way if those things happened. Next, they scratch their heads after another oddly friendly meeting between Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. What benefit does Trump see in that considering how often he bashes other Democrats? Jim also explains why the timing of Monday's meeting was not ideal for New York Republicans. Then they highlight a couple more ironic elements of the Nikole Hannah-Jones story involving NYC schools, including her husband's role with the school system and the arrogant comment that Hannah-Jones could get any problems fixed because she wrote for the New York Times. Finally, they discuss the latest attempt at rampant fraud in Minnesota - this time for money designated for businesses impacted by ICE operations earlier this year. JB Pritzker revealing he's dropped 80 pounds ahead of a planned 2028 presidential campaign. First, they react to Hannah-Jones expressing regret for sending her daughter to lousy schools to make a social and cultural point and how angry her daughter is about that. Jim and Greg are glad she admitting all this but the column also suggests she hasn't learned some of the most important lessons from this. Next, they weigh in on Venezuela moving approximately $900 billion from London to be kept in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in Manhattan. Jim explains why this matters for us and, maybe, the people of Venezuela. Then, they recoil at a new program in Massachusetts that Gov.

Mitch McConnell proving he's no longer up to the job. First, they vent over the Virginia Parole Board appointed by Democrat Gov. Abigail Spanberger granting parole to convicted felons - some of them violent criminals - at an exponentially higher pace than the board serving under recent GOP Gov. Glenn Youngkin. Next, they vent as the New York Times publishes a story stating "Israelis still view themselves as the victims of Oct. 7." Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss the House Judiciary Committee exposing how casually ActBlue allegedly accepted foreign campaign contributions for Democrats, Hasan Piker saying America is worse than Al Qaeda when it comes to terrorism, Jim's visit to the Cuban Embassy in D.C., and why not all polls are what they appear. First, they dig into the story from Townhall.com about a Houe Judiciary Committee report showing how little lefties with ActBlue tried to keep foreign donations out of the donations they received. Jim and Greg go through some egregious examples and wonder whether anyone will face legal consequences for this. Next, they react to Hasan Piker telling Axios that "pound-for-pound" the U.S. is worse than Al Qaeda in terms of terrorism. Jim explains how absurd that is and how it also proves that Piker is not very bright. Then, Jim recounts his visit to the Cuban Embassy in Washington earlier this week. He explains how the Cubans are pursuing a China-like system that will allow investing and some private ownership. He also explains how destitute the Cubans are right now. Finally, they don't believe new polling that shows GOP sen. Jim Risch is losing badly in Idaho. A closer look at the polling firm and how it gets results makes them far less concerned about the race. Mitch McConnell proving he's no longer up to the job. First, they vent as the New York Times publishes a story stating "Israelis still view themselves as the victims of Oct. 7." In addition to the obvious reaction, Jim explains the double standard that exists in how the Times treats writings from the left vs. the right. Next, they react to James Talarico's pastor saying the candidate's advisers are telling him to sound more moderate on social issues but that Talarico will be just as far left as ever if he wins the U.S. Senate race.
