John Krasinski: Some Good News
John Krasinski was a likable enough comic actor on The Office. Then he showed that he was a gifted writer, director, and dramatic actor with A Quiet Place and the Jack Ryan series. But this might be my favorite thing he has ever done.

I love it. A news show dedicated to good news! Why not now?
Here’s another charming clip of him and his wife, the adorable Emily Blunt:

Man, Amazing Grace always makes me cry, but that elderly couple through the window?? Killer. I’m gonna need a moment here.
Oh man, I am sooooo resisting the urge to list all the egregious continuity errors in A Quiet Place right now.
“You need to stay quiet or the monsters will get you, except when that would derail the story in which case make as much noise as you want!”
;-)
It’s like the movie makers were never a teenager playing loud music in their room and not realizing that their own singing voice carried much louder than the music they were playing outside their room, the way they think that sitting next to a stream means the aliens can’t hear them…
Krasinski is hard not to like, but his character in Gus Van Zant’s Promised Land was very annoying. It’s possible that no one saw that but me, however.
DOn’t you think that Thirteen Hours could make up for that error though?
I did not see that. But I will now.
Wow! Thank you for posting this. Just what we needed right now.
I’m so glad Steve brought up the plasma tv scene in The Office. I remember tearing up from laughing so hard when I first watched that scene. I totally laughed over the next scene.
Give me a forced hiatus and I binge pizza and Pepsi and Pure Flix. John? John took it straight to the house. Kudos! Encore! Encore! (But 5 points off for making me cry. There are limits.)
