Fantastic “New” Pundits on the Right

I am extremely impressed with the great new faces emerging on the Right – composed, thoughtful, and incredibly effective. Jordan Peterson is one, of course (though not a traditional conservative). But I am speaking really about those who are disarmingly charming (which Peterson is not) – and devastating at the same time. I have come to praise Candace Owens and Allie Beth Stuckey.

If you have not seen them in action, you should. Anyone who interviews either one had better be prepared to be chopped into little pieces and used as fertilizer. Here’s a recent Candace Owens clip, and full interview.  And Allie Beth Stuckey had the incredible hit “ad” for Democrats this week that is a must-see. Her interview with Ben Shapiro is side-splitting.

The future is bright, indeed!

And I am sure that I am missing some other incredible rising stars. Please share with me (and others) whom else I should track!

When I first saw Allie Beth in action earlier today, I took heart! She is just hilarious. They should take that “Democrat” video she made and use it for campaign commercials. Just hysterical. I agree, both give us hope. But for me, Allie Beth especially does, because it’s past time we use humor and ridicule as the potent weapons they can be in the right hands.

Allie Beth and Ben Shapiro talk too fast for my failing cognitive to absorb. It’s not as funny when you have to go back to CC to understand what was said. But I love them both and Candace Owens.

I usually lack the patience to listen to most people. My tendency is to speak very quickly indeed. But both are fast enough speakers to keep it interesting for me.

Charlie Kirk works with Candace Owens, and he’s a great young spokesman.

I recommend checking out the video where she interviews Alexandria Occasio Cortez, it went viral a few months ago and the dems did not like it. Thankfully Allie is made of stronger stuff and refused to apologize for offending them.

She certainly is and she’s going to be in congress, if the Dems take the house she will have real political power.

Perhaps it’s because I’m a Millennial (or a Gen Z-er, depending on the definition), or because I’m a haughty bloke, but young personalities tend to leave me cold. I don’t know why.

Democrats have a corner on the market on youth culture, and we on the Right tend to suffer from jealousy that we can’t have hip young attractive spokemen for conservative values too.

We rush to grant celebrity status on these types and we should hold our fire on encouraging some of their traits that might get them to “buy into” the hype (Tomi Lahren is a shining example) before they’ve fully shown themselves to have a strong principled base.  I remember Jay Leno had on some kid in the requisite navy blue suit/red tie that less than a year later said he was no longer that way…I think he said he was no longer a conservative because girls didn’t like that and he wanted to date.

But on the other side of the coin, Alexandra DeSanctis this week tried to get conservatives to shun Candace Owens because “she’s not a real conservative” which I think is a toxic approach.  The National Review/Weekly Standard wing that tut tuts anything but purity in ideals and behavior and makes a cottage industry of trying to be fair minded to the point you wonder if they *want* regular people in the Right.  I’m the first to admit people were over their skis a bit about a false flag on the bombs, but here come the Weekly Standard types using the wrongness to prop themselves up by basing people who agree with them on 75 percent of things and handing a gift to the side that shares 10 percent of values and consistently in my biased opinion plays fast and loose with the truth.

Get our own journ-o-list/slack chat and keep the infighting inhouse :)

Depending on the player, you may be able to go the opposite direction of my usual: choose a slower playback speed rather than speeding it up.

Alternately, I notice that closed captioning is a feature on video players now, so there may be an available track to help you pick out what they are saying.

Sometimes I can’t access them because they are behind a paywall, and try to find them elsewhere, then I get this:  your browser won’t let us use cookies, etc. It’s is true, I have everything turned off that might interfere with my Ricochet. And I like my privacy. I’m not on any social media except Ricochet. And I subscribe to a few web sites that I know won’t track me. Sometimes I don’t get to see something I would like, but that’s life.

I like the pundits you’ve pointed out. I just found Matt Christiansen this afternoon. Here is latest video on the arrest of Bomber:

Well reasoned, event tempered, calmly stating his views.

He also does a podcast with “Blonde in the Belly of the Beast” called “Beauty and the Beta”.

I listened to one podcast this afternoon, and found it quite entertaining. (Not on the level of “GLoP, the thighs have it” but got still quite good)

I have been a subscriber to Blonde’s YouTube channel for a while, but was unaware of the podcast.

    Found this website earlier today:

    http://politicalhat.com/2018/10/27/nevada-early-vote-2018-first-full-week/#more-15049

After the first week of early voting, the Republicans are in a much better position than they were in the Presidential year of 2016. To a large degree, this is due to higher turnout amongst Republicans than Democrats, with early voter and returned absentee advantage of banked votes the Democrats had in 2016 being about halved in Clark County compared to this point in 2016. The statewide races for Governor and U.S. Senate will be tight, and will likely be effected by how the independents and 3rd Party voters swing,

The article quoted above unpacks voter data from early voting in Nevada and compares it to the first week of voter results in 2016. Interesting stuff.
