Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch.
This week, they discuss how the Democrats' huge midterm election victories will shape the next Congress and - yes - the 2028 presidential campaign, Tucker Carlson suggesting the U.S. and Israel will soon nuke Iran, the left building momentum for making the Death Tax much worse, and a dead dog getting his voting rights restored in Virginia.
First, Jim and Greg look ahead to what the next two years will look like with President Trump in the White House facing big Democratic majorities in the House and Senate. They also briefly consider how this impacts the start of the 2028 cycle.
Next, they roll their eyes as Trump loyalist-turned-hater Tucker Carlson says the U.S. and Israel may be just days away from using nuclear weapons against Iran. Jim explains why there's almost no chance Tucker is right.
Then, they react to the United Airlines CEO and college economic professor looking to make the Death Tax much more painful. The CEO also wants to institute a wealth tax. Jim and Greg have a simple suggestion for him.
Finally, they groan as Virginia officials restore the voting rights of a dog that died five years ago. But the story gets even more insane.
New episodes every weekday.

Among those cohorts who voted for Trump in '24, but voted for Dems in '26 are young men. They will be rewarded with seriously impaired inheritances as the Democrats cannot wait to preach that an inheritance is so unfair to somebody that they will have to practically eliminate the practice of generational wealth transfer.
Good. While you're at it, vote for higher income and fuel taxes, more punishing inflation, less safe neighborhoods, soaring utility bills, more corruption waste and misspending taxpayer money, more direct interference by government in their lives and wide open borders. The rights of anyone who contributed nothing to the country will expand as taxpaying natives are vilified. Oh wait, they did.
