Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 40 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Our own Troy Senik, former Presidential Speechwriter, Editor in Chief of Ricochet, and current Co-Founder and Vice President for Content at Kite and Key Media, drops by to talk about the intersection of public policy with his new endeavor at Kite & Key. But perhaps the best facet of this conversation is, simply, two friends enjoying a conversation that ranges from various approaches to communicating timely concepts to a broad audience, to super volcanos (also known as Flaming Death Holes), the attractions and liabilities of life in the northeast, and the drudgeries of going through life as “arm candy.”
Then, Ricochet member (and writer at The Federalist) Jenna Stocker stops by to talk about life in her hometown of Minneapolis against the backdrop of riots, Derek Chauvin trial, no-go zones in a once-vibrant city, and the tendency of people and businesses to vote with their feet when a city becomes unlivable. In an show that somehow manages to touch on nearly every facet of the current political scene, we think you’ll find this episode to be an oasis of refreshing perspective.
Finally, if you’re listening to Dave’s show, but you’re not a Ricochet member, there is a way you can get a 30 day free trial membership . Tune in to learn more!

Can’t wait to listen. Jenna is always a pleasure to hear. Guess that Troy fella is, too.
‘Flaming Death Holes’ FTW! Also would make for a killer rock band name.
Thanks for a great conversation!
“Ray Charles could have seen this coming.” I love you, Dave.
Once you get through the first book, @troysenik, the second, third, fourth, etc. seem much easier.
Great show, Dave.
Congratulations to you and your husband, @jennastocker.
My wife’s been pretty clear about this. Second book = second marriage.
Just tell her it gets much, much easier. I’ve finished six at this point.
What, six marriages?
No, books. Still on the first marriage. Twenty-six years and counting.
But who runs the system? If your city is systematically racist, who has been in charge of that system for 70 years?
All of these big cities have been run by democrats since the second world war…. Minneapolis, Chicago, Detriot, LA. etc. the entire police departments have been hired, trained, and promoted completely by democrats. There is not one officer working in these departments that have ever reported to a republican appointee.
Maybe they’ll get around to fix it some time in the next term… Keep voting blue.
Describing the Republican presidential nomination process as “congealing”. Count it stolen. It’s the phrasings that bring me to your show, Dave. You never disappoint.
Thank you sir. I appreciate it, so very much.
