We knew that President Trump's first appearance at a White House Correspondents' Dinner could be rather awkward, given his relationship with the press. But whoa! Who expected this? On the other hand — and given the times in which we are living — is it really all that shocking?
And how about the irony of a shooting incident at a venue with a roomful of reporters, many of whom have done their dead level best to spread Trump Derangement Syndrome, which is likely what's behind this shooting. I mean, I seriously doubt the suspect was there to shoot reporters, though I could be wrong. After all, and to be fair, Trump has described the mainstream media as the enemy of the people.
But as we all know, when it comes to inflammatory rhetoric, the people who are inspired to act out violently are overwhelmingly on the left.
I really wanted to hear the jokes tonight, especially from Trump, but he wants to reconvene the event in the near future, and that should give him time to come up with some even better material. Looking forward to that.

For all the criticism, much justified, that has been leveled at the Secret Service and other law enforcement, I thank God tonight they did their jobs professionally, and that President Trump, the First Lady, and Cabinet members, and everyone else at the WHCD will able to go home to their families tonight.

I think I saw that the SS agent who took the bullet hasn’t been paid in a month. Got to love those bozos in Congress.

The Leftist media did try to spin that it was a Trump supporter trying to take out reporters. This is all so dismal...
