Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
Against considerable resistance from Ricochetti, I advocated, over many posts and months, that Ukraine should follow Sun-Tzu - and attack where the Russian army was not: Russia.
Intelligent war strategy is to attack where the enemy is not. Ukraine can – and should – invade Russia where it is soft and undefended. Do lots of damage. Do it on the ground. you might even follow the highways around to encircle the Russian forces facing into Ukraine. Wreak havoc, and spread fear. And keep doing it until Russia sues for peace. Then you trade invaded Russia for invaded Ukraine.
The Ukrainians are finally taking my advice, with the major inroads in the Kursk area. And the strategy remains as I advocated it - the goal is to force a land trade and terms for ceased hostilities.

It is a bold move, Cotton.

I highly suspect that the Ukrainians’ current adventure into “where the enemy is not” will be short-lived. A few more weeks at most, at the end of which they will have not only been forced to relinquish all of the territory in question, but will also in the meantime have lost additional ground to the east as a result of having pulled troops and materiel from there in support of said adventure.

I’ve been expecting this post, iWe. Putin has a curious attitude towards armed conflict. Apparently, there was supposed to be no hit-backs.

Could be.
Go back to your previous comments, and you'll see that your record for predicting the future is poor.
You constantly predicted the complete successful invasion of Ukraine, and you should have the humility now to admit that this war did not pan out the way you have been saying, for years, that it would.
Nobody has correctly predicted how things would play out - including me. But at least I can admit it.
