Best and Worst of Trump 2025

Here's my list of the best and worst things Trump accomplished in 2025. I'm thinking of long-term impact, not his outrage of the day.

Best:

  1. Restoration of the unitary executive by taking control of independent agencies, firing Deep State moles, and much more. The Dems have always had a unitary executive because the Deep State agreed with them, but Republicans have had to fight their own subordinates and thus were able to accomplish little.
  2. Midnight Hammer - Nuclear ayatollahs would have been unimaginably horrible, but this operation also puts every other nation on notice that we can destroy their leadership bunkers.
  3. Seriously damaging the DEI and antisemitic policies of universities and corporations.
  4. Closing the border.

Worst:

  1. Feckless Ukraine policy vis-à-vis Russia.
  2. Tariffs...
  3. Confused response to the affordability attack - If he doesn't respond more effectively, the Dems will win this issue and retake the House. If so, we'll be stuck with two years of impeachments and investigations.

What is on your list?

You got some of the good ones. I'll add some off the top of my scalp:

    1. "The Epstein files are coming out....There's nothing. It's a hoax we won't waste time on.....Okay, here are 8 million incriminating photos of famous people...“

    2. Threatening countries like Greenland for no reason.

    3. Always more talk than action. Still better than the opposition.

I disagree on tariffs. Tariffs start by reviving manufacturing in the US, additionally they begin to move us toward a consumption-based taxation system. Furthermore they are tools to implement the American first policy. I'm in favor of all of that.

As to affordability, I was at Sam's Club this morning and I noticed that the price of gas is down to $2.05 a gallon.

I agree with both your comment and the original post. Securing military and commercial access to Greenland would be very very valuable, but I don't think angering Denmark is an effective way to accomplish that.

GOOD: Unwavering and complete support of Israel. That should be on top of the list.

I’m not sure they were angry.

Trump has a distinct communication style that is known worldwide. To my ears Trump was signaling the importance of a significantly located but fairly unprotected country.
