Administrative State Scolds Biden for Not Obeying Them

It’s not as if Biden isn’t under relentless pressure to pretend that he is supporting Israel during its devastating war. But now 400 staffers from our Administrative State have the chutzpah to dictate to Biden the demands he must make upon Israel. These “brave souls” signed the letter anonymously:

The letter cites popular American support for a cease-fire, and calls on Biden to ‘urgently demand a cease-fire; and to call for de-escalation of the current conflict by securing the immediate release of the Israeli hostages and arbitrarily detained Palestinians; the restoration of water, fuel, electricity and other basic services; and the passage of adequate humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.’

A lawsuit has also been filed in California by residents of Gaza, their families, and human rights organizations, against Biden, Austin, and Blinken, to act:

‘For the past 38 days, the world has watched senior Israeli officials use dehumanizing language in connection with their expressed intent to destroy and displace Palestinians in Gaza while imposing an unrelenting siege, and intentionally depriving Palestinians the conditions of life necessary for human survival,” the lawsuit reads. ‘The United States has been obligated, from the time it learned of the specter of a genocide of the Palestinian people, to exercise its clear and considerable influence on Israel to prevent this grave crime from unfolding.’

Genocide? Dehumanizing language? Grave crime?

I’m the first person to say that Biden is incompetent in his job, and even though he probably has umpteen handlers telling him what to do (along with Barack Obama), they have a lot of nerve, telling the President of the United States how to conduct foreign policy. All of these people are immune to the facts of the situation or don’t care, believe they know what Israel should do, since Israel is clearly conducting genocide against the poor Palestinian people. How is Biden supposed to secure immediate release of the hostages? If Israel is destroyed, I don’t think they’d care. And if this isn’t the ugliest display in government of anti-Semitism (except for Rashida Tlaib), I don’t know what is.

We’ve talked for years about the outrageous actions and behaviors of the Administrative State. It may be too late to rein them in at this point. I wonder how many of the “signatories” to the letter were Jews?

I don’t know whether I am more revolted or afraid.

Is this the same letter/demands I heard about a while back, also signed anonymously? Or was that a separate thing?

The story goes that R. Reagan fired the guy who tried to tell him to take the line "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall" out of his speech.

The one I'm thinking of might have been students demanding Harvard do things? But I don't know why they would have been anonymous for that.
