Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
With Kamala Harris picking Tim Walz as her VP, the Democrats have put together an unalloyed ticket of uber Wokeness. Who is the more doctrinaire progressive between them? Tough to tell.
And the MAGA man himself picked the most MAGA running mate he possibly could: J.D. Vance.
So the good news: The voters of America are going to get as clear a choice on substance as they have ever had. Clearer than Reagan v. Carter. Clearer even than Trump v. Hillary. (Heck, clearer than Lincoln v. Breckinridge.) This is All MAGA v. All Wokeness.
And here's the irony: In a race that features such a stark choice of deeply eccentric personalities, the even starker choice will actually be between the substance of their respective policies. (Which is a good thing for our Republic, IMO.)
And a theory: The more this race is focused on substantive policy differences between the tickets, the better for Trump/Vance.

Good point. This country has no excuse. We will deserve which ever government we elect.

The MAGA man. Hmph. Hmph I say!
Ok. So elitist Republicans who fancy themselves as too cosmopolitan to support a loudmouth southern working class redneck like Trump - those people find themselves in an awkward position.
When I was a teenager, the world looked pretty black and white to me. I knew EVERYTHING.
But not quite on that level...

Excellent post!!! 100% spot on. If you lean any way conservative or even just a bit to the left the choice is obvious. The Trump/Vance Ticket may be too “American Compass” like for some Libertarians or “Small Government” folks (but honestly if you read Henry Olson’s Book Reagan: Working Class Republican Trump/Vance really aren’t that far from President Reagan) or many may not like Trump etc..but man…what a stark choice. As was said in a response..we get what we deserve.
Trump/Vance has to stay on message. No more “race” and no more of that Georgia crap we just heard…not enough voters care enough to rehash 2020…..win the election then have a task force look into elections…but for now…follow what Victor Davis Hanson said on his podcast today. Please President Trump…think think think!!!!
Again…for conservatives…you might not like Trump but he is the quarterback of this team for this game…he has to win…if the Harris ticket winds….well you will see real “transformation”

Don't be too quick to disparage DJT for attacking Kemp and Raffensperger. The Dims are going to cheat again, and something has to be done about Georgia.
