Irresistible force meets immovable object. Alley cat with a Telecaster makes moves on a good old-fashioned girl. He has his NEEDS. She has her REASONS. He has desire, she has expectations. It’s a relationship cul-de-sac and a three-chord avalanche.

"Keep Your Hands to Yourself” was released in November of ‘86, and eventually hit #2 on the Billboard charts, being thwarted by a Bon Jovi song I’d rather forget.

Written by lead vocalist Dan Baird, it’s Georgia Satellites and the leadoff track from their debut long player, which is a party in and of itself. However, if you cotton to the idea of a Chuck Berry/Faces mashup, all three of their albums will do nicely. They might even peel your wallpaper for you.

Dan Baird is one of the great underrated (unknown?) rockers of our times.
