Some thoughts from Jerusalem regarding Lindsey Graham and other matters

Virtually one year apart, two of Israel's greatest champions -- Charlie Kirk and Lindsey Graham -- were taken from us.

Their absence underscores what is written in Psalm 118: "It is better to take shelter in the Lord than to trust in man." Words that Kirk and Graham would have embraced since they were men of deep faith.

Trusting in people like Kirk and Graham is commendable, of course, but only God, in the end, determines our fate.

At the same time, we need to understand why Islam and the left are winning. They have an uncompromising commitment and passion for their cause, and except for a select few — e.g., Kirk and Graham — we don't.

J.D. Vance is a danger not only to Israel and Jews but to the United States. He rejects Milton Friedman's wisdom, and that's a serious problem.

San Francisco is a beam of light in the darkness. Thanks to Jewish mayor Daniel Lurie, a coalition of moderates is pushing out the progressives. If it can happen there, it can happen anywhere.

Whatever danger Vance may present to “Israel, Jews and the United States”, it’s nothing compared to the danger oozing from whatever lunatic the Democrats nominate/coronate.

Not a J.D. Vance Fan. Maybe ( unlikely but possible ) the democrats will nominate a sane person of goodwill.

It helps the reader to have some clarification supporting why a position on a person is offered.

Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
