Great director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michelle, have been found dead in their LA home.
Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, is being questioned by police. No arrests have been made.
Legendary Hollywood film-maker and actor Rob Reiner and his wife Michele have been found dead in their Los Angeles home.
Authorities are investigating the incident as an apparent homicide after police and firefighters were called to the couple's house on Sunday afternoon in an upmarket neighbourhood of LA.
While I would have vehemently disagreed with Ron Reiner on many of his political views, I don't dispute his talents, first as an actor and then director. The Princess Bride and A Few Good Men are among my favorite movies ever made.
I am horrified at his and his wife's unjust death. I pray that their killers are found and brought to justice.
Sadly, we won't have Meathead to kick around anymore...

Awful story, reminiscent of Phil Hartman's murder.
Reiner gave us This Is Spinal Tap, too. Great comedic mind.

Oh, yeah... I was just thinking off the top of my head...
Stand by Me (1986)
Princess Bride (1987)
When Harry Met Sally (1989) - the pinnacle Rom-com.
Misery (1990)
A Few Good Men (1992)
So many great movies in such a short period...

It’s such a crazy story. I had to do a double take this morning when I saw the headline. At least the Hackmans weren’t murdered, even though that story turned out to be bonkers too.

This brings me to heartfelt sorrow for Rob Reiner and his wife. Early reports is that it was their son who was the murderer. Regardless of who or why, it is a sad tragedy and may God bring comfort to their friends and family.
This reminds me of back in 2020 when Barry Bennett and his wife, Carol, were killed by their son. It is such a sad tragedy. Barry played NFL football, had been an upperclassman when I went to the same college. He had been my golf instructor while I was there. They ended up living in a small town a few miles from where I grew up. They were loving and giving people which did not prevent them from being murdered by their son.
Many of us may disagree with Rob Reiner's politics but that has no place in this tragedy. Lord have mercy.
