    Education is not an actual public good. Look up the definition of a public good. Government shouldn't be doing this, and it clearly shows. We effectively have private education anyway, because nobody can afford a home where the good schools are.

    Collect the taxes the same way and give a check to the parents. 80% of the children will get better education instantly. The other 20% will get resolved within five years.

    Teachers unions don't add any value. They commandeer the system to steal from it.
