There is much discussion of the haves and the have-nots, but very little discussion of the doers and the do-nots, those who contribute and those who merely take. -Thomas Sowell

What is the biggest difference between Elon Musk and Zohran Mamdani? Or Jeff Bezos and Karan Bass? It is not their politics. For a long time, Bezos was a lefty, as was Musk. The essential fact is that Musk and Bezos, and Bill Gates, too, for that matter, are doers. They build things. They change the world for the better. (Yes, even Gates - none of his Gates Foundation craziness erases the good done by the personal computer.)

Mamdani, Bass, and a whole bunch of others in the DSA wing of the Democratic Party are do-nots. They have never built anything in their lives beyond their own careers, and much of what they now have was taken from others. Their tools are greed, jealousy and envy. They divide, taking from those too weak to resist. That is Mamdani's plan in New York City.

Makers versus takers—that is the real divide in the United States. If the takers win, misery and poverty will follow. But makers have one thing going for them: the things they produce create a power for their side that the takers lack, the ability to enrich others besides themselves. Elon Musk may be a trillionaire, but along the way he has helped build up tens of thousands of millionaires. The efforts of Musk, Bezos, and Gates have enriched tens of millions in the United States. Those enriched know that if the takers gain power, they, like the makers, will be impoverished.

If I remember my "Atlas Shrugged" correctly, the non-doers and the takers are the Looters.

Pretty much. It is not as if the concept is new.

It all comes down to an understanding of simple economics. An economy can grow or shrink. Every new invention grows the economy. Every new story or song gives us something we did not have before. The makers understand this. They go and create new things. The poorest people in our country live better than kings a thousand years ago. Why? Because those kings might have had gold and silver, but they did not have modern healthcare or technology. Those kings had to rely on horses for transportation, usually over bad roads. They had to rely on their peasants and hunters for food. Our modern poor person can hop in a jalopy and drive to the supermarket and get better quality food for lesser prices. Why? Because our food system has been automated. We can buy foods out of season due to our transportation networks.

The takers have a zero-sum view of the economy. If one person gets money, he must take it from someone else, and inequality shows he must be gaming the system (like the takers do.) The economy cannot grow, according to them, despite ample evidence to the contrary. Thus, they put in policies for "fairness" that will instead shrink the economy and give everyone less in the end.

Bill Gates builds things that take down innocent children.

He would not be able to do this if it were not for our tax laws that allow the rich to set up charitable foundations to shelter vast sums of monies that should go off to Uncle Sam.

    https://thewashingtonstandard.com/study-bill-gates-dtp-vaccine-killed-10-times-more-african-girls-than-the-disease-itself/ January 2021

Once again, Bill Gates and his devilish ideas are being exposed for the havoc he has brought about in Africa. The latest is a study that discovers his DTP vaccine killed 10 times more African girls than the disease itself! Yet, he wants to vaccinate you? You gotta be a special kind of stupid to take any vaccine, but especially one that has Bill Gates tied to it.

Great Game India has the story on the study.

According to a peer reviewed study published in a respected journal by the world’s most authoritative vaccine scientists, Bill Gates DTP vaccine killed 10 times more African girls than the disease itself. The vaccine apparently compromised their immune systems. Although, such study was never performed before 2017, Bill Gates and the Vaccine Alliance GAVI and WHO pushed the vaccines on unsuspecting African babies.

    ####

In another region of the world, the Pacific Rim nations, of the 225,000 children who experienced polio during a recent 10 yr period, it was discovered that every single case of the ailment was a result of the children being injected with a polio vaccine whose distribution was underwritten by GAVI, Gates' vaccine foundation.

India has sued Bill Gates for his use of India's poor children as vaccine trial study victims. If he should set foot in that nation ever again, he will be arrested.

Also India has had legal proceedings against Mr Gates for his assistance in swindling that nation's poorest farmers into entering into agreements with Monsanto that required them to destroy any saved cotton seeds that were in their possession, or at least not to ever use them. Once the illiterate farmers signed the contracts, they found out it was quite expensive to not only purchase RoundUp to use on their cotton fields, but that they had to purchase the GMO cotton seeds every growing season after that as well.

It is estimated that anywhere between 200,000 and 600,000 farmers in India ended up as suicides as they could not longer bring forth the needed cotton harvests that had kept their families alive. (Although on a subsistence level.)

I have posted elsewhere here on Ricochet that if not for his sheltering of monies inside his charity foundations, and his then using those monies to donate to alternative media outlets so they would somehow or other realize tht maybe they should go along with COVID's official narrative, perhaps the official COVID narrative would not have been so successful. Among the alt outfits he had monies donated was the BBC.

Also NPR here in the USA. Also Media Matters received generous donations. This organization supposedly exists in order to make sure that media conglomerates are independent. (Citation, the August 2020 issue of "Columbia Review of Journalism" which detailed how 50 different media outlets had been given Gates' donations)

Why should the government get any money earned by people over a lifetime - a lifetime of having paid taxes while doing so? To me, next to property tax, inheritance tax is the second most immoral tax out there . . .
