Anti-Cop Terror in Pennsylvania

Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, is a tiny town roughly fifty miles west-northwest of Philadelphia, at the edge of what the Census Bureau considers that city’s metropolitan area. This past Sunday, a state policeman was killed in the line of duty near Honey Brook, and the circumstances suggest a broader problem.

Around 8 PM local time, Cpl. Timothy O’Connor Jr. received a report of an erratic driver on a country road just south of Honey Brook. When he pulled the driver over, the driver shot and killed Cpl. O’Connor then turned the gun on himself.

As journalists started to look into the killer’s social media and background, the context of the shooting started to emerge. He had no prior criminal record, but started posting “no borders, no cops” and “ACAB” (all cops are b**tards) content around 2020, moving on to quotes from Karl Marx and Che Guevara and other left-wing slogans (Palestine, anti-ICE. All the greatest hits). That same year he got married and had a child, only to divorce in 2023. By contrast, Cpl. O’Connor had been a state policeman for fifteen years, had a wife and daughter and volunteered for the local fire department. We will probably never know for certain, but it looks like the shooter drove recklessly to lure in a police officer so he could kill him as a last act of politically motivated defiance before killing himself.

The murder in Honey Brook was a recent example, but we probably haven't seen the last loser attacking someone more successful, but who he sees as an intellectual or ideological inferior, out of envy.
