Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
Have Americans entered a new era in terms of what it means to be conservative, a person on the right of the traditional political spectrum, or a patriot?
I once thought of myself as a part of the political right — typically voting Republican, socially and fiscally conservative, and an advocate of small government with a focus on the local for most issues.
Now, with the main body of the Constitution emasculated, there has been a significant effort initiated to attack the Bill of Rights in a similar fashion.
Is a conservative, or a person on the political right, now defined principally by supporting the Bill of Rights? Freedom of speech or expression, assembly, and religion, the right to bear arms, and other protected individual rights contained in the Bill of Rights are now the greatest obstacles for the Communists and other anti-Constitutionalists in our midst. These are the everyday contentious issues displacing concerns with spending and morality.

This is why we have Trump for POTUS.

"Right" and “left” are useless terms that mostly just describe from whence your views originate. Think more along the liberty-tyranny scale…how authoritarian the ideology is.

Yes, that is the way I actually think about how we basically divide today.
Can you remember when we never even gave a second thought to the idea that freedom of speech would be under assault as it is today?

As KDW once said, it should have been called the Bill of Things Too Important for You People To Vote On.
