Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
“You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.”
Not really. You can leave. And people are doing that in droves. U-Haul’s annual report on one-way interstate rentals is out, and California once again has the most one-way rentals leaving the state. South Carolina was the most popular destination. The top 10 destinations (and where they placed on last year’s report) were:
| 1. | SOUTH CAROLINA (4) |
| 2. | TEXAS (1) |
| 3. | NORTH CAROLINA (3) |
| 4. | FLORIDA (2) |
| 5. | TENNESSEE (5) |
| 6. | ARIZONA (8) |
| 7. | WASHINGTON (7) |
| 8. | INDIANA (27) |
| 9. | UTAH (13) |
| 10. | IDAHO (6) |
And the bottom 10:
| 41. | CONNECTICUT (42) |
| 42. | MARYLAND (44) |
| 43. | MICHIGAN (46) |
| 44. | LOUISIANA (45) |
| 45. | ILLINOIS (48) |
| 46. | PENNSYLVANIA (38) |
| 47. | NEW YORK (43) |
| 48. | NEW JERSEY (47) |
| 49. | MASSACHUSETTS (49) |
| 50. | CALIFORNIA (50) |

Washington is an outlier there.
Well, whatever. They'll deny it all. That is the only real policy the D's have left that has appeal. "Vote for us and maintain the delusion of your idiotic, utopian fantasies that the evil Republicans won't let us enact."

What's up with Louisiana? Also, are people going to Eastern or Western Washington because they might as well be two different states.

Exceptions to prove the rule. You can ask @Clavius about Washington. As for Louisiana? She has a large, Democratically-run city and not much else going for her. If you aren't moving into New Orleans, where are you going? Are there jobs there? That poor state has been suffering for 160+ years.
