Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
This story seems to be flying under the media radar, even in conservative circles. I'm posting it here to draw attention, as it remains a live issue.
In Pennsylvania the House section of the General Assembly has passed a bill by a narrow 102 to 101 vote, mostly along party lines, to advance legislation to make abortion instituted into the State Constitution. However, the bill still needs to pass the PA Senate—the state has a bicameral system. The legislation is PA House Bill 1957. You can read the celebratory message here from the PA House Democrats website.
Note, there were two key Pennsylvania Republicans who voted with the pro-abortion Democrats to squeak it by the House. These Republicans reportedly are Representatives Joe Hogan and Kathleen “K.C.” Tomlinson. The primary bill sponsor is Democrat Danielle Friel Otten. From a quick search of the bill, there appears to be no limit on pregnancy termination. So perhaps Kermit Gosnell's interpretation of "health care" could be legal under this legislation.
So perhaps Conservative, Inc. might want to take notice and put media attention and political muscle to try to stop the bill in the state senate. Because you know the Governor, Josh Shapiro, a political wolf in moderate sheep's clothing, will sign the bill. Shapiro has already joined PA as a state in suing the Trump Administration on behalf of those committed to subjecting children to the transgender movement. If this bill passes the Senate, then it will almost certainly be signed.
If Shapiro moves up to run for a national office, then keep at least these four things in mind:
(1) Shapiro actively worked to undermine Pennsylvania election integrity laws. Also, a Federal Judge this past year ruled to overturn both the PA election integrity laws, as well as the PA State Supreme Court which affirmed those laws after a Bucks County scandal during the McCormick-Casey Jr. US Senate election. This federal judge ruled in favor of a Democrat affiliated lawsuit.
(2) Shapiro went all in on supporting transgenderism. Including collective action in using PA state taxpayers' money to sue the federal administration to push this child-damaging program.
(3) If H.B. 1957 is passed, then Shapiro will have apparently supported open-ended abortion in the state of Pennsylvania.
(4) Josh Shapiro has actively worked with LGBTQIA+ partners to discredit Christian and private K-12 schools in PA.
Hopefully conservative media will draw attention to this apparently open-ended pro-abortion bill. Please consider passing this information along.

A lot, if not most, of the push for these policies comes from out of state lobbyists and lawyers. You can't just assume the R's in your state will protect you, as they can be swayed by lobbyist cash.
If you oppose abortion and transing kids, then you HAVE to support (give money to) groups that actively engage in lobbying and legal action to stop these practices.
I go further; it is MORE important to donate money to groups engaged in the political and legal battles for policies you want than to give to any party, or politician, more than who you vote for.
That's what those of us in the 2nd Amendment community have found. The money that we give to gun rights groups who lobby and file lawsuits is VASTLY more important than whether or not this, or that politician has an R, or a D next to their name.
In addition, judges matter, A LOT! Politicians come and go, but judges leave a legacy written in case law.

Oh, that "moderate" Shapiro?
Gotta kill them babies!

Just more proof that the single issue that keeps Democrats getting elected, in spite of a 19% approval rating, is Abortion. Boomer feminist women are the largest supporters of abortion, and they get out the vote every time.

I know two women, both conservative Republicans, who are firmly pro abortion. Thank goodness they're not one issue voters. But i really don't understand them.

My wife is Pro Life, as am I. The number of her friends that are Pro Abortion is amazing and appalling.
