Sen. Bennett (D) from Colorado is saying that Trump may beat Biden in a landslide. George Stephanopoulos is saying he doesn't think Biden can make it another four years. Some are comparing Biden's current situation with that of Nixon in the summer before his resignation.
None of this will make Biden leave. What made Nixon resign was that the Senate Republican leadership paid him a visit and told him they would not support him. They would vote to impeach.
Will Democrats take the analogous step with Biden? Will they say that he is manifestly incapable of performing as president and so they will not support him? Will they commit to voting for Trump if Biden persists? This might be the one thing that would make Biden leave.
But they won't do it. And Biden is perfectly reasonable in insisting on continuing if they don't. A vote for him is an implicit acknowledgment that he is physically capable of handling the job. He is the sitting president who has triumphed in the primary process. Doubts about whether he can beat Trump are neither here nor there. A good Democrat shouldn't doubt, but work harder to help the nominee win.
Nor are doubts about whether he can complete four years relevant. Note that Stephanopoulos was careful not to say that Biden was incapable of performing as president right now, or might not be in November. He gave no indication he won't vote for Biden. If so, Biden is perfectly right to continue.
Of course what everyone knows but won't say is that Biden is merely a sock puppet for whatever leftwing cabal is actually running things. The debate disaster revealed to the nation and the world that this is the actual governing situation of the United States. The fiction that Biden is a functional president has been exposed, making him useless any longer as a sock puppet. So pressure is put on him to "do the right thing" and disappear.
Joe Biden, however, has always been primarily about Joe Biden. He isn't going anywhere unless forced. On the other hand, the left has painted Trump as a historically dangerous candidate who must be opposed at all turns, so there can never be a reason to vote for him, even if his opponent is a vegetable. Admitting that the responsible thing to do is to vote for Trump over a braindead Biden is to undermine the fundamental dogma of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
So Democrats won't do the one and only thing that would make Biden step aside. Go, Joe, go!

I take no comfort from a piece I read that Jill, not just the cabal, is the president. Good grief.

Even worse, I was also reading that Hunter is sticking very close to Dad and has more influence than people think. It's obvious why Hunter will do everything to keep Dad in office.

A Donor boycott might work.

Or else, Democrats, suck it up and accept that this malignant buffoon is the nominee and is not going to drop out.
