Chris, buddy... We need to talk. You aren’t yourself (I hope). You need an intervention.
The problem is not that you disagree with me about almost everything. We humans are destined to perpetually argue, and I am okay with that. Our world is filled with shades of gray that people will interpret differently. But black and white do exist. There are some things on which even you and I should agree.
This letter is about an example of pure darkness: the Islamic Republic of Iran. Chris, come on now. There is nothing good you can say about these guys. They believe they were placed on this planet to hate and kill. They are obsessed with killing Jews. They rule the country of Iran solely as a means to the end of killing Jews. They care nothing about their own citizens. Iran is just a place where they can oppress the people while they extract and sell oil to raise money to pay for more effective ways to kill Jews. If the people of Iran object, they arrest, torture, and kill the protesters. Chris, they seek a nuclear weapon for only one reason: they want to kill millions and millions of Jews by exploding nuclear bombs in Israel.
Chris, this is not a secret. They openly say they hate Jews. They deny seeking a nuclear bomb, but their every action is consistent only with seeking a bomb.
Chris, the Islamic Republic of Iran is not a shade of gray. Reasonable people do disagree about many things, but reasonable people do not disagree about the need to prevent Iran from getting a nuke. Chris, even your buddy Tom Friedman admits Iran is pure evil.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has been evil for decades, Chris. I bet I could find clips of you saying that yourself a few years ago. Why can’t you say it now? You may have noticed that your country is engaged in combat with the bad guys. We shoot at them, and they shoot at us. Does that mean anything to you? When the shooting starts, you have to pick a side.
You hate Trump. Big whoop. Trump is not at war, Chris. Your country is at war. You have constituents from Connecticut over there, Chris. Criticizing Trump is tacky, stupid, and inappropriate. But, Chris, rooting for Iran is insane. I’m not gonna call you a traitor, Chris. I’m not. I am going to tell you that you are giving aid and comfort to the enemy. That’s just a fact, Jack.
If I were an IRGC leader in Iran right now, the only strategy I have is to keep breathing until people like you convince Trump to leave. It’s a stupid strategy because Trump is not listening to you, but it is all they've got. Do you hear what I am saying, pal? The only thing preventing the bad guys from giving up is you and your fellow Trump haters. Think about it.
You are playing stupid politics in a time of war — obsessing with a guy who is never running again. He is a lame duck, dude. You are cheerleading for the worst people on earth because you hate the president of your country.

While I loathe Murphy and regard him as a malignant partisan weasel, I am inclined to accept the idea that this tweet was a weak attempt at sarcasm. That does not change my belief that he would rather see a catastrophic defeat for US and Israeli forces than a Trump/Netanyahu victory. That he managed to put forth enemy propaganda into social media as the context for his sneer at the US effort in the Strait is unsurprising. That he feels victimized by the response to his stupid tweet is simply evidence of the narcissism required for the level of wokeness he has achieved.
