Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
The Progressive Left is a twisted, nightmarish carnival wherein humanity is reduced to little more than a sideshow attraction. One surmises this when observing the installation of Kamala Harris as the Democrat Party presidential candidate. The PTB in the party care not one whit that no one voted for her to be the nominee — she is just the latest useful idiot. They have no record to run on other than a lousy one — the economy stinks, inflation has driven grocery, rent, and gasoline/diesel prices sky-high, and the world stage is in turmoil with war. It is such a “weird” party that DEI, which not long ago was something praised for the common good, has now become verboten to speak of in relation to how Ms. Harris got to be where she is.
Ah, but now the evil part. The reduction of humanity. Abortion and genital mutilation. These are all goods to be promoted. And to borrow a phrase or two: let me be clear, not a joke, Ms. Harris is all in.
Ms. Harris weaponized her office of Attorney General in California (in support of Planned Parenthood) to go after David Daleiden and his videos exposing PP’s attempt to sell body parts and organs of aborted babies.
This is really sick stuff. Recall that Senator Elizabeth Warren said that the greatest accomplishment of Kamala Harris is that she is the first VP to visit an abortion clinic. Kamala will not weary, and she will not rest, until abortion is legal everywhere and anywhere at any time.
Abortion and LGBT issues are all that Ms. Harris can tout. She and the Democrats are sick and twisted and evil. Their agenda is tolerance, acceptance, ratification, and participation. To repeat: sick, twisted, and evil.
Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends.
The world was created good, but because of the fall of man, we continue to fail. Yet we have hope. I only put my hope in Jesus Christ. Politicians will not save us, but they can get in the way as one such politician has famously said. I am Catholic and am pleased that the GOP VP candidate is Catholic. I hope that he will embrace his faith and grow in knowledge on life issues and help to convert Donald Trump and other GOP squishes on the fundamental and unalienable right to life. And I pray that they hammer Ms. Harris and the Democrats on the satanic blood lust known as abortion that they deem to be reproductive healthcare.

(I'm a huge ELP fan, and appreciate the reference. But man, that's a badly written article.)

I agree with this.
But -- it is true of the Republicans, also.
Lord have mercy.

It’s really telling that the only policy matter Kam has shown up for, engaged with and spoken on behalf of is abortion and sex mutilation. Recently in NH her husband stood up for her on that very thing and it’s the only thing they will be specific about. NH has a law allowing abortion up to 6 months. Yet he still calls it a ban and brags about Kam’s strong support of abortion at will any time anywhere through 10 months if necessary.
I wondered how he and she got together but then read today the story about him having an affair with his kids’ nanny, who became pregnant during the affair, ending his marriage. They now seem a matched set.

I have always enjoyed the song but as a presentation of a deep theme, not so much.
And Jerry is dead on, it is true of the Republicans, too. And Trump got to the Dodd decision by accident, or providence, he nominated good judges who fixed a bad law. I have heard him say more than once that it went too far, he is hardly reliable on the issue. I hope that when Vance comes into his own, he will be.

The Republican platform is not one to brag about but I haven’t heard Trump or Vance shill for abortion and genital mutilation like the Democrats do.
