Nazism did not fail because the ideology was proven false by intellectual elites, defeated by a superior logical argument. The argument for Nazism was always about power: racial superiority equals military superiority. When Germany fell, those who supported the Nazi movement all suffered amnesia. “Not me!” they said. “It was the Nazis!”
Islamic Supremacy, the violent Iran-backed vanguard of the new Caliphate, is on the brink of the very same collapse. Iran was built on the idea that Allah, the All-Powerful, made His Faithful all-powerful as well.
As Iran’s theocracy is crushed under US-Israeli ordinance, all Muslims who subscribe to Islamic Supremacist ideology will become like German citizens in 1946 and move right along.
Losing the war, Iran also loses the theological argument. Which means that those who have, in Bin Laden’s expression, “Bet on the strong horse,” will find a stronger horse.
This is how ideologies that are built on power have to work. Ideologies that are not predicated on Might Makes Right (like pacifism, most other faiths, and even national movements like Zionism) do not stand or fall based on military might. Communism was not defeated on the battleground; it was defeated because it failed at its core goal of making a better society.
In all cases, when an ideology fails, everyone who supported that ideology changes focus and changes the subject. Six years ago the world was whipped with fear and panic over Covid, leading to a collective madness. The vast majority of those who went along with the insanity have put it in the rearview mirror and pretend it never happened.
Supporters of Iran’s worldview are already starting to do the very same thing.

Also, when it was clear that the Nazi regime would collapse, Hitler desired to have Germany totally destroyed since its people had, in his view, proved unworthy by being defeated.
Will the Iranian regime take the same position?

Islam has always looked upon military conquest as theological validation. Israel's victory in three wars and the rapid collapse of Saddam Hussein in the first Gulf War were psychologically seismic. It is especially important to consistently apply beatdowns to aggressive Islamist behavior.
It was tough to deny the claims of the "master race" or those of the "Yamato race" when they were winning and gobbling up much of the world.

Well, what's left of the regime announced today that the whole world, including resorts and tourist sites, are now targeted for their aggression.
(Then that spokesman was reportedly killed in an airstrike.)

I think this explains why Iran has been attacking former allies like Qatar.
