After a successful tour of other wretched and lawless blue cities, ICE took its act a few weeks ago to Charlotte, North Carolina. The “Queen City,” they call it. Though after that poor young white woman was filmed being stabbed to death on a public transit train by a dreadlocked lunatic whom no one wanted to keep incarcerated, the city’s nickname should be devoid of any reference to royalty — unless it’s to the Prince of Darkness.

Not that the killer himself was an illegal, but he was a person of color. The all too common mindset that it's fine for criminals of color to roam the streets free as a bird is a close relative to the one that considers it fine for communities to be overrun with illegal aliens of color. Because, according to that mindset, both are necessary to prove one isn’t racist. And so communities and cities have to be ruined in order to be able to make that vacuous and incredibly destructive virtue signal.

As elsewhere, the usual and by now laughably stereotypical protestors showed up with their childish, simpleminded, virtue-signally signs and attempted to interfere with federal agents in the performance of their duty in Operation Charlotte’s Web. These ding-dongs with too much time on their hands imagine themselves to be the moral equivalent of those who participated in the great civil rights movement of the ‘50s and ‘60s.

Please. They’re just a bunch of goofballs who are beyond parody and unfit to shine the shoes of the real civil rights protestors who actually risked life and limb. These current protest hobbyists risk nothing. There are no firehoses, no police dogs, no billy clubs, no violent local yokels (except the ones they’re defending). They might as well be out for an afternoon of pickleball.

It makes you want to tell them, Hey, the Woolworth lunch counter got desegregated 65 years ago, and a two-term black president is already in the rearview. And anyway, we’re talking about illegal aliens here. Why don’t you just go home?

Operation Charlotte’s Web has since moved on, but one of the protest signs displayed there caught my attention and lingers in the mind: “Imagine being afraid of diversity but not dictatorship.”

Wow. I’m underwhelmed. Where are the t-shirts and bumper stickers?

But I’m also overwhelmed because encapsulated in those eight words is a nearly unfathomable display of stupidity and stark cluelessness. While the world has always been lost in evil and depravity, selfishness and greed, only recently have human beings sought a new form of self-destruction so utterly stupid and unnecessary that someone coined a phrase for it: “suicidal empathy.” That’s when guilt-ridden white liberals — especially females — are so bent on atoning for their whiteness that they would participate in what amounts to civilizational suicide by allowing nonwhites to basically run amok.

My retort to the aforementioned sign is: Imagine being afraid of an imaginary dictator or king, but having not a care in the world for your country being overrun by countless millions of unvetted, uneducated, low-skilled people of color from failed states who take jobs from Americans, drive up the cost of housing, overwhelm communities and their systems, and commit an inordinate amount of crime — all because the only conceivable way to prove your virtue is to let nonwhite people do anything they want, no matter what.

Just imagine. It’s easy if you try. Except that, John Lennon notwithstanding, it’s unimaginable.

But just try and imagine anyway. Let it really sink in what’s going on here. Remember George Floyd? Most of the leaders at every level of government in our country stood back and did nothing for days, weeks, even months, while rioting occurred in cities from coast to coast. All because Floyd was a person of color who died in police custody. And all because of the lie that black men were being hunted down and killed by racist cops, even though readily available statistics from the Department of Justice proved that wasn’t so. No one was interested in the truth, and no one seemed to care about the destructive and deadly consequences of perpetuating such a lie.

Just imagine: They didn’t seem to care if the underlying stability of our civilization got wrecked, as long as they could virtue signal. It’s unimaginable, but it happened. And it continues to happen in blue cities — which is most cities — just in a slightly different way. But it all boils down to the same thing: We must allow people of color (and that includes Hispanics) to do anything they want, including breaking into the country by the millions, or else we’re racist.

“Imagine there’s no countries.” No thanks, Mr. Lennon. We don’t want chaos.

But hey, imagine this: A young white woman on a public transit train in Chicago was recently assaulted by a person of color (sound familiar, Charlotte?). He came up behind her (sound familiar, Charlotte?), doused her with gas and set her alight. He’d been arrested umpteen times and was still free to wreak havoc on the community (sound familiar, Charlotte?). And all for a lousy virtue signal.

“Imagine being afraid of diversity but not dictatorship?”

Yeah, just imagine.

On the other hand, imagine having to avoid public transit, as well as vast swaths of most cities, for fear of being assaulted or murdered by your precious diversity. But you don’t have to imagine it because it’s the blatant reality in most American cities of any size. And the leftists who run these cities — and apparently their voting constituents — appear to be fine with that.

None of which is to say there’s anything inherently wrong with diversity. But why must the diverse multitudes be nearly exempt from the lawful restraints that are necessary for the maintenance of a decent, safe and highly functional civilization like ours? Why does it make one group (whites) virtuous to allow another group (nonwhites) to be the opposite and potentially ruin the country in the process?

Why, in other words, does the mindless devotion to diversity have to become a civilizational suicide pact?

Imagine there’s not a single Western country left that hasn’t been swamped by diversity. It’s easy if you try.

    I don't think they care about ANY criminals: White / Non White, Illegal Immigrant /. US citizen. Just as long as they spread chaos and degrade the life quality of the middle class. Degrading the life quality of the middle and working classes is the goal.

    "guilt-ridden white liberals — especially females"

    I don't think most of these people feel any sense of personal guilt...they are asserting their moral superiority and believe that all the rest of us (outside their circle of virtue) should feel guilt.

    "Imagine there's no countries" always prompts me to want to ask, "Then what rules apply?"

    Some set of rules will apply.

    The people who spout such nonsense as "imagine there's no countries" ignore (or willfully suppress) that there are vast and fundamental differences among the rules governing societies and cultures around the world. Among the world's laws (rules), those of Saudi Arabia are quite incompatible with those of the United States, and if you want to really extreme, compare them to those of the State of California. Those of Japan are quite incompatible with those of Italy. Those of Sweden are quite incompatible with those of Iran

    And if you say, "There will be no formal rules" then you are saying that chaos will reign ("the law of the jungle") in which the strongest person (probably a man) will decide the rules. And you are unlikely to be the strongest person.

    "Diversity" of what?

    In most corporate settings, "diversity" is usually limited to skin color, sex, and sexual orientation. Stupid, but limited.

    But, too many of the street protester nitwits defending criminal conduct by immigrants from who-knows-where or by people influenced by the foreign cultures claim that we need "cultural diversity."

    But true "cultural diversity" means:

    the homosexual man lives next door to the Muslim man who thinks all homosexual men should be killed;

    the Quaker lives next door to the person from a culture that says a variety of offenses, such as a rude comment, justify killing the offender;

    the person who thinks stealing is justified as "reparations" for some past wrong lives next to the person from a culture that believes stealing justifies amputation of the thief's hand;

    the person who practices one religion lives next to the person who believes all practitioners of a religion other than his own must be killed;

    the woman who thinks she should be able to wear whatever clothes she wants lives next to the man who believes that a woman who wears clothing that accentuates the woman's shape is asking to be raped;

    the girl who has grown up believing she could participate fully in society lives next to men who think any girl out in public is fair game to be turned into sex slaves;

    the person who expects himself and others to follow rules lives next to the person who thinks he should be able to do whatever he can get away;

    and so forth.

    How do you bring into a society based on the concepts of "Western Civilization" people who come from societies that never adopted, or actively rejected, Western Civilization? Or even permit existing residents in a Western Civilization culture to adopt behaviors opposed to Western Civilization?

    Well said, Greg. It appears to be the sacrifice that some have chosen to make. Isn't virtue signalling fun?!
