We just returned from a road trip to the Space Coast in Florida. I tried to work in a visit to the Ricochet meetup there, but our schedule just didn't allow it. It was about 1250 miles each way.
Some observations that I hope will generate conversation:

Inter’stin’ observations.
I saw a Buc-ee’s for the first time when I was in OK over the new year, and my brother and I drove to Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo. I’m sure they had over fifty gas pumps, but I didn’t try to get an exact count. I wonder, in what circumstances, outside of a Mideast war, would even half of those pumps be in use at the same time.

We stopped at the Luling one today, which I think is currently the largest. At least half the pumps were in use. I’ve been at that one where you had to drive around for a while to find an open pump and then a parking space.

I'm not sure what shade exactly "light gray" is but the possibly darker "matte gray" has disappeared, to the regret of no one I am sure. I presumed that was a fashion, and those who follow fashions are also those who trade in their cars every two years. In the interim, it was an eyesore.
Not sure what that means either but I hope it's negative. About a decade ago I reluctantly went into one in Mississippi for supper, decided to stop at iced tea, and boldly remarked to the waitress how dirty the place seemed. "I hear you, man," she replied.

Gas in MA is $2.90, 2.72 at the grocery pumps. This is down nearly a dollar from Election Day 2024.
