The Globalists have learned their lesson. The German and French showcase Globalist governments have collapsed, Italy has been lost, but they have a bold new(?) strategy on display in Romania (from the Washington Times 12/5):

LONDON — European Union regulators ordered TikTok on Thursday to retain any information related to Romania’s presidential election, after the country’s top defense body released declassified intelligence alleging that Moscow arranged an online campaign to support a candidate who emerged as a surprise front-runner. As controversy swirls around the election, the 27-nation bloc’s executive arm is using its sweeping digital rulebook to step up scrutiny of the role played by the video sharing platform. Far-right populist Calin Georgescu emerged from obscurity to top the polls in the first round of the Romanian presidential vote on Nov. 24, plunging the European Union and NATO country into turmoil. In an unprecedented move, President Klaus Iohannis ordered the release on Wednesday of the intelligence files that allege a sprawling network of thousands of social media accounts across platforms like TikTok and Telegram promoted Georgescu content.

Suffer an electoral embarrassment? This is inconceivable! Unscientific! Globalism is destiny! All properly thinking people agree! What to do (from the Washington Times 12/6)?

The Romanian Constitutional Court on Friday annulled the first round of the presidential election after declassified intelligence documents suggested Russian influence operations gave nationalist candidate Calin Georgescu his surprising victory.

Darn that TikTok! The court decision, combined with the Globalists' radical attempts to force their censorship regime on Elon Musk's X, make it clear that elections are only free and fair if only the Globalists' approved voices are heard; only their policy positions are considered, only their hate speech is accepted in the public square. They cannot win if the public square is free and open. That was the real court ruling in Romania on Friday.

Do globalists/left-wingers ever really learn their lesson?

In order to obtain all of these European (and American) dominoes being toppled, they had to bring some game at some point. When they respond to challenges by banning speech rather than addressing real issues, they hobble their ability to address those stubborn facts. When they say that inflation is down but the person they are messaging has received tiny pay improvements if that, and bread and eggs and rent and transportation are sky high, the messaging has only convinced the swells to wealthy to notice or care about the contradiction. Clinton was the only Democratic president in my lifetime that showed any awareness of what inflation was and where it comes from.

So the answer is, no, and if they do, not for very long.

TikTok is controlled by China, which is allied to Russia, which wants NATO damaged — or even better, destroyed — because it blocks Putin’s expansion plans.

In general, Russia is always fighting against democracy in its neighborhood because Putin fears it might give even Russia’s supine population ideas.

BTW, it’s interesting how easily “anti-globalism” can be turned to the advantage of aggressive dictators. In the Thirties there was constant bleating about “munitions makers” whenever people like Churchill urged the democracies to prepare for war.

Is there a normal right wing party in Europe? Every party right of center is always classified as far right, or so it seems.

They are further down the Leftist censorship thing than we are. La Figaro, the Telegraph are mostly exceptions. Le Pen has some troubling ideas, for example. Europe has no Bill of Rights serving as guard rails on many varieties of political excess.
