You've probably heard of the recent ICE raid on a marijuana farm in California. Note the protestors in the picture from the raid, waving the flag of the country they don't want to go back to. Why, I wonder? I also note in the article that "more than 500 rioters attempted to disrupt operations." How is that possible? How did they know that a surprise raid was coming? Anyway, despite their efforts, the raid was very successful, as described in The New York Post:

More than 350 undocumented workers were arrested in the raids at its locations in Carpinteria and Camarillo on Thursday, the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement.

Officials said that “violent and dangerous criminals” were arrested during the operation, and “as of July 13, at least 14 migrant children have been rescued from potential exploitation, forced labor, and human trafficking.”

Officials also said that “more than 500 rioters attempted to disrupt operations,” leading to “four US citizens” being “criminally processed for assaulting or resisting officers.”

Glass House Farms is now facing alleged child labor law violations.

Ok. So Border Patrol agents bust a marijuana farm which appears to have been employing over 350 illegal immigrants, including at least 14 underage children. This would not seem to be a controversial event. Surely Democrats and Republicans can agree that a farm that routinely breaks immigration laws as well as child labor laws is a reasonable target for law enforcement. Surely.

But Democrats do not appear to see things that way. And I don't mean just dope-smoking college kids.

From the Cal State website

I mean dope-smoking college professors, too.

A Philosophy professor from Cal State was arrested for throwing a tear gas canister at ICE agents. His picture is just so, so wonderful. If I had substituted his real picture for a picture of a stoned hippie, I would be criticized for stereotyping. But that really is his real picture. Really.

He's a college professor. He molds young minds. * sigh *

You may also take issue with my using the actions of one idiot whack-job to suggest that all college professors are idiot whack-jobs, as well. I would never do such a thing.

Although I will paste below a statement released by the California Faculty Administration on Facebook:

⚠️ MISSING PERSON ⚠️
Jonathan Anthony Caravello
DOB: 02/16/1988
Professor at CSU Channel Islands
Kidnapped by unidentified ICE agents at 2:33pm, Thursday July 10th at Las Posas Rd/Laguna Rd community ICE defense protest
4 masked agents dragged Jonathan away into an unmarked reason without identifying themselves, without giving the reason for arrest, and without disclosing where they are taking him
It has been over 24 hours since Jonathan’s disappearance and he does not have his medication with him

As we continue searching for ALL our loved ones from these inhumane raids, please monitor these websites for any familiar names including John’s:

So, according to the California Faculty Administration, this was not a rioter who was arrested for assaulting law enforcement officers who were exercising a warrant. No, this was an innocent bystander who was kidnapped by unidentified criminals.

I like the touch at the end: "...and he does not have his medication with him..." I wonder what type of medication that is? I'm guessing it's not blood pressure medication. I'm guessing Xanax. Maybe Haldol. But who knows, of course.

I also love their sloppy editing: "...4 masked agents dragged Jonathan away into an unmarked reason without identifying themselves..." These people grade papers and teach young people how to write.

Or perhaps they don't. Whatever, I guess. Professors don't care about higher education, so I guess I shouldn't, either.

Anyway, you might also take issue with me indirectly suggesting that higher education is complicit in the actions of one idiot whack-job. I would never do such a thing.

Although I will paste below a statement released by his employer, California State University:

California State University Channel Islands released a statement following his arrest, ABC 7 reported.

“At this time, it is our understanding that Professor Caravello was peacefully participating in a protest-an act protected under the First Amendment and a right guaranteed to all Americans. If confirmed, we stand with elected officials and community leaders calling for his immediate release,” the statement read.

“The California State University remains committed to the principles of free expression, academic freedom, and due process, and will continue to monitor the situation closely.”

So an employee of California State University is arrested for assaulting law enforcement officers with a tear gas canister. And the university immediately releases a statement calling for his immediate release.

I know this is California. I know that we shouldn't worry until this sort of thing starts happening in America. But I still find this very troubling.

These aren't isolated idiot whack-jobs. These are college professors. These are the colleges themselves.

These are not anti-establishment hippies. No. They ARE the establishment.

It's hard to be anti-establishment when the media, the educational system, and most of the federal government are on your side.

Our elite - our establishment - our institutions - they are all infested with these people, and this ideology.

America has a problem. A problem that cannot be fixed by winning one election.

I hope it can be fixed, perhaps, by winning many elections. But even with that, I'm not sure.

We're way, way, WAY down the rabbit hole...

The government can't make anybody take care of a fetus. Abortion went up after they got rid of Roe versus Wade. Just drop the abortion threats for a long, long time.

The process at booking is not like checking into The Four Seasons. A jail or detention center does not ask you to rate your stay. There is no turndown service to include placing a chocolate mint on your pillow.

There is a nurse on duty if you have a medical issue. If the nurse determines you need a hospital visit a corrections officer will take you to a hospital. You will be handcuffed to a bed upon arrival. If a doc determines you need to stay for treatment or overnight monitoring, you will be handcuffed to another bed and the CO will sit outside your hospital room.

The easiest way to avoid the trip to booking and even need some stitches is not to attend a riot. In this case smoke some weed and stare into the Lava Lamp on the end table in your living room. I suggest sitting on the floor rather than falling off the couch when you pass out to avoid getting a concussion.

An even easier way to avoid a booking? Oh, I dunno . . . maybe not be throwing a tear gas canister at a law enforcement officer?

And to think as a freshman engineering major at a University of California fifty years ago (autumn 1974) in my mind the most whack-a-doodle professor I dealt with was the math department professor of calculus who insisted that the most beautiful thing in the world would be to be stranded on a remote Pacific island with nothing but theoretical math to contemplate.

And my (now) wife as a freshman accounting major at a California State University in 1975 found her most whack-a-doodle professor to be the economics professor who speculated on the elusiveness of "full employment."

My how the times and professors have changed. :-)

The prevalence of so many flags from countries other than the United States (particularly flags of Mexico) rather supports the assertions that the United States is being invaded by foreign governments or their agents.
