Iran arms the enemies of Israel -- Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, etc. We see how that works out. It is time for Israel to return the favor.

Israel should actively arm the people of Iran, so they can overthrow their corrupt and evil government. It would not be hard to do -- millions of handguns of various kinds could be dropped on population centers or smuggled on containers or across Iran's borders. It would be a superb example of asymmetrical warfare.

After its populace is armed, the Iranian government would, one way or the other, end up representing the will of its own people. And removing Iran's influence on Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, etc., would make the Middle East much safer and more prosperous.

At one time I would have disagreed, but now it's tempting . . .

I do not think it is possible to arm a population that is not already armed. Protect 2A people.

If I were Israel, I'm not sure I would do this.

Giving deadly weapons to millions of Muslims who want all Jews dead seems risky.

Of course, there are many Iranians who don't take the teachings of Islam all that seriously, and choose to ignore the part in the Koran about killing Jews and other infidels. On the other hand, there are many who do believe such things.

I'm not sure that arming the population of Muslim countries is wise.

I'm afraid I agree with Dr. Bastiat. Many - maybe even a majority of - Iranians might hate their government, but they also are likely to hold the same attitudes towards Jews as does Hamas. Arming Iran's citizens could have disastrous unintended consequences. I do think Israel might have to take out Iran's nuclear program, which I would not be sorry to see. Taking out its munitions industry would be good too, if possible (I won't pretend to know if it is or isn't).

Small arms in the hands of Iranian citizens or even their army pose no risk to Israel. Iran is a LONG way away.
