For just $3,916.12, you too could have been placed on the primary ballot for governor of California. Sixty-one candidates are on the ballot - a family care navigator, a teacher and business owner, an aviator, a school social worker, a filmmaker, a disgraced former Congressman who had an affair with a Chinese spy, a hotel worker, a doctor of chiropractic, a father, another father, lots of fathers apparently, several mothers, an immigrants organizer, a few farmers, a climate advocate, a billionaire (who is also a climate advocate and wants to arrest ICE officers)...so many to choose from. Good luck. (And yes, I'm voting for Steve Hilton).

    You are so jealous.

Or Barack D. Obama Shaw? (The “D” is for Denzel) Known throughout the civilized world as the host of Alameda’s Got Talent.

It's always been like this; it's no Woke Era innovation. When I got here in the Seventies, a regular party line was for El Partido Bailando y Cantando--the Dancing and Singing Party. For the price of a 15 year old car, you can tell your bored grandchildren that you were once a candidate for governor.

I want Steve to win, but I voted for Bianco, figuring that Steve is a lock to win one of the two top spots, probably the top one, and I clung to the forlorn hope that we could push Chad into the other one, driving the state's Democratic party nuts. They're the ones who wanted the "jungle primary".

Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
