July 13 and Violence

On July 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fatima appeared for a third time to Lucia dos Santos and Francisco and Jacinta de Jesus Marto at the Cova da Iria in Fatima, Portugal. The children were shown a vision of Hell and were instructed to pray the Rosary daily for the conversion of sinners and an end to the war.

It was on May 13, 1981, at 5:13 pm that Pope John Paul II was shot and had his life spared. It was the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima - the first time Our Lady appeared to the children at Fatima. Pope John Paul II claimed that Mary’s hand guided the bullet and that her action saved his life.

And as we all know, this past July 13 was the day of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. I see Divine Providence in this action. Your view may differ. I pray the Rosary daily and one of the many intentions my wife and I declare before praying is for the conversion and salvation of our country. I don’t view Donald Trump as a savior, but I do see him as one who can help to right the ship. His life was spared for a reason. Corey Comperatore’s life was taken for a reason. God, the author of life, is the only one who knows these reasons. But through this evil, we have seen again that only Almighty God can save us, and that we must work with Him to bring about peace.

We shouldn’t be surprised when Leftists commit violent acts. Their entire raison d’etre appears to be the slaughter of infants in the womb (what they mysteriously call a reproductive right and health care) and the mutilation of children (what they mysteriously call gender-affirming care). They have no regard for the sanctity of life. Violence is the means to their end. They apparently forget (or don’t believe) what is written in our Declaration of Independence regarding the unalienable right to Life. It is no wonder that they continue to use violent rhetoric and use violent means to meet their end goals.

Our Lady of Fatima, ora pro nobis.

Domine Jesu, dimitte nobis debita nostra, salva nos ab igne inferni, perduc in caelum omnes animas, praesertim eas, quae misericordiae tuae maxime indigent.

This is an interesting coincidence to bring up. Sister Lucia's letter to Fr. Caffara talked about the attack on the family will precede the end.......which we are witnessing many attacks on family and children.

Haven't people attacked families and children since forever?

Yes indeed. We see this through the widespread use of contraception, abortion, and the mutilation of children.

You will notice FSC said this attack will “precede the end”.

From the article linked in comment #3:

Sister Lucia dos Santos, one of the three children who witnessed the Marian apparitions at Fatima, died in 2005. But before her death, she predicted that the final battle between Christ and Satan would be over marriage and the family.

So says Cardinal Carlo Caffarra, who reports that the visionary sent him a letter with this prediction when he was Archbishop of Bologna, Italy.

Kyrie eleison Christe eleison Kyrie eleison Our Lady of Fatima, ora pro nobis Amen

For more on the rosary. (You don't have to have the beads to pray the rosary, they are for people like me who forgets where I am.)

And thank you Lord for this site, and for this post, and for this candidate. Your ways are always mysterious.

    Amen.
