Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
On Saturday pro-Hamas lunatics decided to add Reagan National Airport to their growing list of airport entrances being blocked by citizens (?) who want you to know, loud and clear, that they are in favor of slaughter, rape, torture, hostage-taking and kidnapping, dismemberment, unspeakable treatment of corpses in the streets of Gaza City. Here’s a snippet from an article about the incident:
At 2:53pm on Saturday, the Reagan Airport X account issued a "TRAFFIC ALERT" telling travelers to "Expect delays around the airport due to a group in vehicles exercising first amendment rights in roadway." The suggested remedy was to "Use caution and expect slow moving vehicles," with also a recommendation to use the metro system to get to the airport.
The post has since been hit with a reminder from Community Notes that "There is no first amendment right to block traffic," citing a post from the ACLU Illinois.
As of early Sunday afternoon, the post has earned 2,000 replies and over 600 quoted reposts taking issue with such a claim about "first amendment rights." Our sister site of Twitchy has highlighted some of the best examples calling out both the protesters as well as the airport's social media account.
My very first thought, after the same feeling of revulsion I get every time I see a picture of these sub-human morons, was to remember the great man I have repeatedly referred to as “our last real President” and with almost-certain knowledge that he would have ordered some extremely serious military-grade construction equipment to the airport entrance and this “peaceful and orderly” “exercise of First Amendment rights” would be over in a matter of minutes. And I would even go so far as to say that there might be - trigger warning to snowflakes: this is going to be very frightening - arrests for the various crimes being committed by these animals.
This message would not be complete without an appropriate reminiscence of a time when treasonous brats who have no idea what they are doing as they are, quite simply, ignoramuses, were dealt with exactly as they should be: harshly.
God Bless this great man and may he rest in peace.
God Bless America!

Regardless of what nonsense the Airport Authority said, I don't see why the VA governor could have arrested these criminals.

The irony is VA is a place where my personal recollection is rolling revenue agents trump up charges against drivers of cars with out of state plates.

But the rolling roadblock on the highway was presumably outside MWAA jurisdiction.

I have no details on the particulars, just identifying a possible complication. Also, the county jurisdictions are blue although usually the state has some jurisdiction with regard to state and federal roads. Also, Reagan and Dulles have a much larger significance as a national security issue thanks to federal office holders and critical personnel related to federal affairs participating in the traffic at a far higher rate than elsewhere. It would not surprise me if a red governor dropped their national guard on top of that. But when 90% of the people inconvenienced are blue, why bother?
